KULGAM,
JULY 04: District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Sajad Hussain, today
chaired a meeting to review financial and physical achievements in health
sector in the district.
He also
took stock of implementation status of different schemes for development of
infrastructure and other components in Health Department.
The
meeting was attended by CPO, Exen R&B, Dy CMO, and BMOs of all health
blocks of Kulgam, MS DH Kulgam, DPM, BPM and other officials of the health
department.
BMOs
briefed the meeting about the ongoing works in their respective blocks under
various schemes. It was given out that against an approved cost of Rs 17696.96
lakh, Rs 9630.93 lakh have been incurred up to ending March 2018.
The DDC
was informed that all four floors of IPD block DHS Kulgam are completed in all
respects and building of MCH Kulgam will be completed in next four months.
He was
also informed that PHC Devsar ground floor and ISM dispensary at Nillow are
complete and the executing agency will hand over these projects to health
department by the end of this month. While work on NTPHC Chowgam is in full
swing.
The DDC
directed ACR Kulgam to identify land for the construction of the NTPHC Malvan
and Gudder at an earliest so that work on these approved projects will be
started.
He
exhorted upon the Police Housing Corporation, JKPCC and other executing
agencies to work in synergy and coordination to expedite work on all under
construction projects and to complete work within stipulated time.
He also
directed the authorities to bring in his notice all the land dispute issues
which are hindering the construction work of approved projects for augmentation
of healthcare facilities in the district.
During
the meeting, DDC also reviewed the function of various centrally-sponsored
schemes like JSY, JSSK, and RBSK and appreciated the department for
implementing these schemes properly for target beneficiaries.
He also laid stress to establish approved baby wellness centres in the
district at KaniPora and Mirhama before August 2018.
