GANDERBAL, JULY 07: The
Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Ganderbal held a day-long workshop
under Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) initiative to aware and
train people from schedule caste and schedule tribe sections here at Town Hall
today.
The
workshop was inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Executive officer, KVIB (KD),
Muzaffar Ahmad Allaqaband who threw thorough light over the schemes and plans
lying with the department to uplift the weaker sections of the society.
General
Manager, DIC, Ms Bilkees Jan attended the function as the Chief Guest. She
elaborated various schemes and facilities being provided by the government to
uplift and finance Kashmir craft and other skills in rural and remote areas.
A large
number of men and women from SC and ST categories attended the programme and
received valuable information and technical know-how about their proposed
manufacturing and trading interests.
Speaking
on the occasion, Deputy CEO KVIB said that the Board is keen to create and
develop more entrepreneurs to bring a positive social and economic change in
the weaker sections of the society.
Assistant Director Handloom Mushtaq Ahmad, Lead Bank officer Riyaz
Ahmad, FLCC Ganderbal and other concerned were present on the occasion.
