17: Secretary Rural Development Department, Sheetal Nanda
today chaired a meeting to review the progress of works under the Integrated
Watershed Management Programme (IWMP).
During the
meeting, the Secretary asked the IWMP authorities to submit the Utilization
Certificate (UC) for funds provided to them and clear all the pending liabilities
by next week.
Project maps of
various districts were discussed in the meeting and it was stressed that no
work should be done outside the project area and strict monitoring through G/S
coordinators should be ensured by CEO IWMP.
Nanda also
stressed on devising convergence plans with MGNREGA which would result in
taking up of more works by IWMP. She directed that convergence plan should
be framed with the consultation of respective ACDs.
To ensure
transparency, she directed that photographs of completed works should be
updated on the Bhuvan portal before 30th July and the details
regarding works should be uploaded on MIS within a week.
During the
meeting, detailed discussions were held on the Locational
Action Plan and prioritized works for the current financial year.
Chief Executive Officer IWMP Farooq Ahmad briefed the meeting regarding
the status of IWMP works and the issues to be addressed.
