Jammu, Aug 22: Air was clearly wet and heavy with the emotions overflowing from
the eyes of senior BJP leaders and prominent citizens, when they came upon the
sight of “Asthi Kalash” of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna, Late Sh. Atal
Bihari Vajpayee ji at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) brought the “Asthi
Kalash” from BJP Office New Delhi to Jammu and from Jammu Airport, where
hundreds of party activists were eagerly waiting to get the sight of “Asthi
Kalash” of a “Yug Purush”, proceeded in the form of huge rally towards the BJP
headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
At BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Union MoS in PMO, Dr.
Jitendra Singh, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher
Singh Manhas, former Ministers Chander Prakash Ganga, Sham Choudhary,
Sukhnandan Choudhary, Ajay Nanda, Priya Sethi and other senior leaders
expressed their love and emotions for the great personality.
Ravinder Raina, in his epigrammatic and expressive words,
sketched life portrait of Atal ji and said that he was always loved by all,
beyond the party fold and with persons from every ideology. He said, Atal ji
was the one who pioneered ethics and moral values in politics. He said that
Atal ji was the true patriot to his last breath, served the mother India with
all his dedication and commitment. This is a huge loss of our Nation, he said
and added that today Atal ji has left this world but he shall remain alive in
the hearts, breath and blood of all Indians. This is irreparable loss, he said.
He also said that after the heavenly departure of Atal ji there was extreme
level of discipline shown by the BJP cadre.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, while expressing his love and emotions for
Atal ji, said that in the history of 70 years of independent India, no one
gained such a love, respect and popularity that were enjoyed by Atal ji during
his life and even now. Already viewing him as Prime Minister, Public was
eagerly waiting for him to be sworn in and take command as PM of India, he
said. Regarding certain views, he said that Atal ji never compromised on any
issue of J&K and BJP always follows his policy. He stressed that Vajpayee
ji always opposed the special provisions for the state, which are evident from
his numerous speeches. His legacy can only be understood by the dedicated
volunteers of BJP, he said and added that the noble soul of Atal ji will never
leave mother Earth, and will always remain here to guide and correct us.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, said that Atal ji will always be missed
and his memories will remain alive in the soul of “Bharat”. He said that Atal
ji was a great visionary, great poet, statesman, mentor of millions. Leader of
masses, Man of words who always stood by the side of ground level activists, he
said and added that all the activists looked upon him for guidance and advice.
Shamsher Singh Manhas recalled the old memories of strong
intellect and leadership shown by Atal ji like his keen observations and
directions in Doda Bachao Andolan and similar conditions. He also stressed on
the simplicity of Atal ji and said that Atal ji used to give life saving
suggestions in informal talks. He prompted all to follow Atal ji, making him
role model in politics.
BJP State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh managed the whole
programme.
After the tribute programme at party headquarter, all the party
leaders carried the “Asthi Kalash” to “Surya Putra Tawi” in the form “Rally”,
where the “Ashes” of the great public leader were immersed in the Holy waters
of Sacred River, with the chanting of Vedic Hymns.

Ambardar, Ramesh Arora, Sanjay Baru, Ajay Pargal, Chandra Mohan Gupta, Rashpaul
Verma, Surinder Choudhary, Tilak Raj Gupta, Arvind Gupta, Kulbhushan Mohtra,
Jaidev Rajwal, Rajni Sethi, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Sanjay Khanna, Jaideep Sharma,
Ayodhya Gupta, Jangbir Singh, Subhash Jandial, Karan Sharma were among the
prominent BJP leaders who paid tributes to Sh. Atal ji.
