KULGAM, AUGUST 27: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani today announced Rs 5 lakh as a special grant for speedy development of Kund valley in Kulgam district.
The announcement was made during a Public Darbar programme organised by district administration as part of public reach out programme in far-flung areas.
The main demands presented before the DDC were provision of adequate water supply to Panghgam Nard, Razloo, Chitargam villages, establishment of Horticulture Zone, upgradation of PHC Razloo, network coverage in village NeeginPora and augmentation of existing receiving station by carving out a separate feeder so that power voltage and frequent power cuts would be minimised.
Responding to the demands of Kund valley, DDC announced Rs 5 lakhs for removing bottlenecks if any in various development projects for Kund valley as a special grant.
Deputy Commissioner assured that all the issues would be taken care of at the earliest. DDC enjoined upon the engineers of different wings that all the on-going projects under different schemes should be completed within the deadline.
While visiting the famous tourist spot Latter, DDC directed the department of RDD to come with a DPR for construction of adequate toilet blocks at Wasaknag besides upgradation of other tourist attractions at the spot.
The Public Darbar was organised by the Revenue department in collaboration with the Education & Forest department.
Among other, the Darbar was participated by Additional Deputy Commission, CPO, Dy CEO, DFO, Principal ITI Kund, HSS Razloo, Tehsildar Devsar, District officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Education, Health, Irrigation & Flood Control, Rural Development, ICDS, DSW, Xens of PDD, R&B, PHE & other revenue officers.
