AUGUST 11: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Dr Nirmal Kumar
Singh today said that cultural heritage should be preserved and protected for
the future generations on a mission mode and every member of the society should
contribute towards this movement.
The
Speaker was speaking at a two-day national seminar on “Folk Traditions and
Culture, Heritage and History” organized by Shodhak organization in Jaipur.
He said that study of folk traditions, culture, heritage and history
provides a journey into the past and gives an insight into the social evolution
of man through ages. He said that there are many other benefits too and for all
these reasons everybody should preserve these rich traditions, especially for
the benefit of future generations.
