Atal ji’s “Ashes” immersed in Jhelum, Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 24: The spirit of great personality, who has ruled the hearts of billions, fostering a party of more than 10 million, has assorted into the land of love and devotion, this was stated by BJP National Vice-President & Prabhari for the state of Jammu & Kashmir, Avinash Rai Khanna, while he immersed the Ashes into the sacred waters of Jhelum, while all prayed for the Moksha of Atal ji.

Earlier, rich tributes were paid to the tallest leader of time at the party office, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. The emotions were overflowing from the faces of the senior BJP leaders along with prominent locals from the Civil Society of Kashmir with wet eyes and heavy heart, whilst the ashes of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Late Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji were immersed in the sacred waters in the middle of river Jhelum at Shadipora, Ganderbal, Kashmir.

Former Minister Sat Sharma, former Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary & Incharge Kashmir region Yudhvir Sethi, MLCs Ramesh Arora, Sofi Yusuf, Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Girdhari Lal Raina, State Spokesperson Altaf Thakur and other senior leaders expressed their love and emotions for Atal ji.

Avinash Rai Khanna, while immersing the “Asthi Kalash” carrying the sanctified “Ashes” of Atal ji, said that today, the spirit of the great personality, who has ruled the hearts of billions, fostering a party of more than 10 million, has assorted the air in the land of Sufis and Saints. He said that Atal ji was fully dedicated to the welfare of the public and his works will be remembered for the centuries to come. He said that Atal ji worked for the mission of unifying India through wide network of roads, giving city like facilities to villages and dignified life for every individual.

Ashok Kaul, while paying tributes, termed him as the tallest leader of the tie. He said that Atal ji always observed a life of “Swayamsevak” bringing simplicity and transparency in his words and actions.

Sat Sharma, while paying tributes, portrayed Atal ji as fatherly figure for all. He said that anybody who is serving the society will always keep the image of Atal ji in mind, so not to deviate from the pious path.

Yudhvir Sethi, while paying tributes, termed Atal ji as the perfect Statesman, Politician, Poet and Social Worker. He said that Atal ji’s charming personality made him friend of everyone and foe of none.

Girdhari Lal Raina performed the final rights with the recitation of Vedic verses at the bank of Jhelum.
