REASI,
SEPTEMBER 14: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Prasanna Ramaswamy G today conducted
a meeting to take stock of upcoming sports events in the district to be
conducted under ‘Khelo-India’ initiative.
The
meeting was held to finalize the preparation for trials and pre-trials to be
conducted in various blocks of the district from where the chosen talent will
be further trained under the ‘Khelo-India’ programme.
The
meeting was further informed that under the ‘Khelo-India’ initiative, Rs 40
lakh have been sanctioned for the district, with each tehsil- Reasi, Pouni,
Mahore and Arnas- getting an equal share of Rs 10 lakh.
The
sports coordinators briefed the DC about the selected venues for the events.
The DC assured his full cooperation to the team of coordinators and also asked
them to document every step being taken for talent identification.
The
meeting was attended by Assistant Commandant, Birbal Mahey from CISF, SDM
Dharmari, Sushil Kesar and other concerned.
