MP, MLA donate Rs 15 Lakh each for development of ADARSH Village
RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 28: Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore today chaired a meeting of district and
sectoral officers at Panchayat Ghar Patrara, a village adopted under Sansad
Adarsh Gram Yojana and reviewed the action plan for the development of the village.
MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina, District Development Commissioner Dr.
Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, ACD Noor Alam, SDM Sunderbani Kirtan Singh, AD FCS
& CA Javaid Iqbal, officers of engineering departments, other district and
sectoral officers and local residents participated in the meeting.
While discussing the blueprint for development of the village on lines
envisioned under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), Dr. Shahid informed that
baseline survey about population, number of households, Individual Household
Latrines (IHLs), unemployed youth etc has been completed by the Rural
Development Department.
He further apprised that the locals of the village are also asked to put
heads together and give a detailed plan of their requirements in the village.
The local residents
said that in the first phase road infrastructure, water & electricity
supply system should be strengthened. "In the second phase focus should be
laid on the education of the children, employment for the youth and welfare of
the elderly persons besides promotion of horticulture and agricultural
activities in the village", they said.
While speaking on the occasion, the MP asked the district administration to formulate a multi-dimensional plan
for all round development of the village. He called upon the people to be on
forefront and actively participate in the formulation of plan.
Jugal Kishore and MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina announced Rs 15 Lakh each
for the development of the village.
