KULGAM, JULY 17: A meeting was chaired by DDC Kulgam Dr Shameem Ahmad Wani at mini secretariat Kulgam with regard to the implementation of SansadAdarash Gram Youjna (SAGY) for already identified villages of Ashmuji and SangusKahrote of district Kulgam.
District officers from various departments presented a detailed report of works undertaken by their respective departments.  
The ACD who is also the charge officer of SAGY briefed the DDC that 45 works have been identified so far at an estimated cost of 45 Lakhs to develop these villages on modern lines RDD.
CEO briefed the DC that a smart Class room has been established in Ashmuji and additional accommodation faculty has been provided to HSS Ashmuji.
Functional manager DIC informed DC about the training courses offered to the women of Ashmuji to develop SHGs in Ashmuji village. He also added that Kulgam district has four developing industrial estates and Ashmuji site is under development phase.
ACR, ACD, CPO, Exen PHE, CMO, BMO, and other District and sectoral officers were present in the meeting.


MP, MLA donate Rs 15 Lakh each for development of ADARSH Village
          RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 28: Member   Parliament, Jugal Kishore today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers at Panchayat Ghar Patrara, a village adopted under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana and reviewed the action plan for the development of the village.
MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina, District Development Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, ACD Noor Alam, SDM Sunderbani Kirtan Singh, AD FCS & CA Javaid Iqbal, officers of engineering departments, other district and sectoral officers and local residents participated in the meeting.
While discussing the blueprint for development of the village on lines envisioned under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), Dr. Shahid informed that baseline survey about population, number of households, Individual Household Latrines (IHLs), unemployed youth etc has been completed by the Rural Development Department.
He further apprised that the locals of the village are also asked to put heads together and give a detailed plan of their requirements in the village.
The local residents said that in the first phase road infrastructure, water & electricity supply system should be strengthened. "In the second phase focus should be laid on the education of the children, employment for the youth and welfare of the elderly persons besides promotion of horticulture and agricultural activities in the village", they said.
While speaking on the occasion, the MP   asked the district administration to formulate a multi-dimensional plan for all round development of the village. He called upon the people to be on forefront and actively participate in the formulation of plan.

Jugal Kishore and MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina announced Rs 15 Lakh each for the development of the village.
