Jammu, Aug 2 : As many as 814 pilgrims today left from here to perform Buddha Amarnath pilgrimage in Poonch district while small batch of 132 pilgrims left for holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath in South of Kashmir. An official said that 710 male, 99 females and five children left for Poonch to pay obeisance at Buddha Amarnath. Meanwhile 132 pilgrims, comprising 98 male and 34 females, also left for Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine from here in five vehicles. Security personnel escorted the yatra convoy to their destinations. UNI
An official said that 441 males and 76 females left in 12 vehicles for Poonch to pay obeisance at Buddha Amarnath.
Meanwhile, 155 pilgrims, comprising 138 male and 17 females, also left for Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine from here in six vehicles.
Security personnel escorted the convoy of yatra to their destinations.UNI
Jammu, Jul 29 : As many as 1,181 pilgrims today left from here to perform Buddha Amarnath pilgrimage in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The first batch of pilgrims was flagged off this morning from Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas. An official said that 728 males, 451 females and two children left in 29 vehicles for Poonch to pay obeisance at Buddha Amarnath. Meanwhile, 200 pilgrims, comprising 180 males and 20 females, also left for Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine from here in nine vehicles. Security personnel escorted the yatra convoy to their destinations. POONCH, JULY 06: Deputy Commissioner Poonch,
Tariq Ahmed Zargar today reviewed the arrangements for the annual Budda
Amarnath Yatra commencing from July 29, 2017.
The meeting reviewed in detail the arrangements being put
in place by the district administration from Bimber Gali to Budda Amarnath
Mandi for a comfortable and hassle free yatra, including security, make shift
toilets, lodging and langer facilities, drinking water, power supply, accommodation
,medicare and traffic arrangements etc.
The meeting was informed that the first batch of yatris will arrive at Budda Amarnath on 30th July for paying ‘obeisance/darshan’ and yatra
will be culminated on 5th August with the departure of ‘Chari
Mubarakh’ from Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch.
Deputy Commissioner stressed for close coordination among all concerned
departments and stakeholders for smooth and successful conduct of Budda
Amarnath Yatra.
SSP Rajiv Panday, district officers, members of Budha Amarnath Yatra
committee and prominent citizens attended the meeting.
