New Delhi, July 17 :  After a lukewarm response on its opening day, the Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer 'Jagga Jasoos' picked up pace during the weekend, earning Rs 33.17 crore in its opening week, trade sources said. After collections of RS 8.57 crore on its opening day, the collections of 'Jagga Jasoos' jumped to Rs 11.53 crore on Saturday and Rs 13.07 crore on Sunday, taking its total earnings during the opening weekend to Rs 33.17 crore. Trade sources said the film is among the top ten grossers in the opening weekend. It stands at the 7th position in the list, ahead of 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' and 'Naam Shabana' which had opening weekend figures of Rs 28.05 crore and Rs 18.76 crore respectively. Directed by Anurag Basu, 'Jagga Jasoos' released across the country on July 14. UNI

New Delhi, July 15 : Despite rave reviews from critics, a brilliant performance by Ranbir and a melodious score by Pritam, 'Jagga Jasoos' has earned just Rs 8.57 cr on its opening day , trade sources said today.
Trade sources said that the opening day figures for the films come as a bit disappointing considering that the film has been made at a whopping cost of nearly Rs 125 cr.
'The opening of #JaggaJasoos is way below the mark,'Trade expert Komal Nahata said.
The trade experts said that it would be an uphill task for the film to recover its production cost and it could well end up being a loss making proposition like Ranbir's earlier film 'Bombay Velvet'.
A silver lining for the film is the fact that opening day earnings for the film are greater than 'Bombay Velvet [5.2 crore] , which was a box office disaster.
Touted as a mystery musical adventure , 'Jagga Jasoos' has been written and directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor.
The film, which features Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Adah Sharma in lead roles, tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.
The film has earned rave reviews from critics for its innovative storytelling style and the performances by Ranbir Kapoor.UNI
