Srinagar, July 19 :  Sh. Vikram Randhawa, MLC, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Sh. Randhawa briefed Governor about various issues of public importance and requested for rehabilitation of families who will be dislocated due to expansion of Jammu airport and early release of CDF in favour of Legislators.

Governor assured the Legislator due consideration of his demands.

KARGIL, MAY 19: Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment, Rajiv Jasrotia, today said that the flagging-off work on the Zojial tunnel symbolizes the firm commitment of the Government towards the overall development of the Ladakh region.
The Minister said this while addressing a public meeting at Hussaini Park here, which was held in connection with the foundation of Zojila Tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Leh. Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, Minister of State for Finance Ajay Nanda and MLC Vikram Randhawa were also present on the occasion.
Jasrotia, while congratulating the people on the foundation of 14 kilometre-long tunnel project, said that the Government is fully conscious of the developmental needs and aspirations of the people of Kargil and issues like the expansion of Kargil Airport and other major projects shall be executed in a phased manner.
          CEC Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali and the state government for fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of the region by inaugurating the prestigious Zojila tunnel project.
          Minister of State for Finance and planning Ajay Nanda, while reiterating the commitment of the Government to deliver corruption-free governance to the people, said that all out efforts are underway to ensure that the benefits of development reach equitably to the people of all the regions of the State.
          MLC Vikram Randhawa also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the live telecast of the foundation laying ceremony of Zojila Tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also screened on the occasion which was witnessed by a large number of people.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil Vikas Kundal, SSP Kargil Tsering Gyalpo, ADC Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, district officers besides a large number of people including students from different educational institutions were present on the occasion.


Jammu, March 05: J&K BJP led by its State General Secretary and Incharge Jammu, Harinder Gupta along with MLC Vikram Randhawa, MLA Rajesh Gupta chaired meeting of party’s District Presidents and District Incharges at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar to discuss the ongoing development works and the preparations regarding holding of a mega programme showcasing the achievements of 3 years of BJP Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons.
While addressing the meeting, Harinder Gupta called upon all the senior functionaries of the party who were present in the meeting to work more extensively for ensuring the reach of the party achievements to the general public. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah have channelized new energy in the party cadre. Politics is not mere a self satisfactory social work but endless duty towards the society and the Nation, Gupta added.
Harinder Gupta disclosed that soon the state BJP will organize a mega event for showcasing the achievements of the BJP Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, Chairpersons, Vice-Chairpersons and other office bearers of the party. He said that BJP can boast on numerous landmark achievements and development works that were continuously neglected by the previous politicians who used to enjoy the public welfare powers and other facilities for their own vested interests. All the major development works, achievements in the public welfare will be focussed in the programme.
Gupta said that the programme will be hosted in the Dushehra Ground on 11th of March which will witness the participation of entire Jammu region covering all the districts. District Presidents and District Prabharis were prompted to ensure the maximum participation of activists in the programme to make it a grand success.
Gupta stressed that the opposition now feeling short of issues is trying to mislead common masses in order to malign BJP’s image. He said that the desperate hope of opposition to gain political ground on falsehood will be soon shattered by the worthy voters in due time. He also focused on the need of doing development works with a positive approach among the public.

JAMMU, OCTOBER 27: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated public utilities complex at Railway Station here today.
Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLC Vikram Randhawa, besides representatives of Taxi Operator Union and a large number of people present on the occasion.
The construction work of toilet cum washroom has been  completed at a cost of  Rs 8 lakh  under MPLAD and CDF.
Referring to several development and welfare works being done in the area,  the Speaker  said the government has prioritized improvement of basic services in every part of the state besides laying thrust on extending a more accountable, responsive and transparent administration to the people.
It is the endeavor of government to make the people equal stakeholders in growth and development of their respective areas, he maintained.
While appealing the people to monitor the works being executed in their areas, the Speaker said this will not only ensure effective implementation of developmental initiatives but also encourage the authorities to work hard and achieve the set goals in time.
MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma asked the people to consider public assets as their own and take their proper care as cooperation of people is necessary for maintenance of public utilities.

          The Speaker assured the Taxi Operators Union that their genuine demands would be redressed in a time bound manner.
