UDHAMPUR, JULY 12: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar today visited District Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) established at district Headquarter and reviewed its functioning.
It is pertinent to mention here that EOC working 24x7 has been established by the district administration for providing immediate relief services to Sri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims as well as people of the district in case of any mishap. Besides, two helplines 01992-272727 and 01992-272728 were also established by the district administration for the purpose.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC asked the members of Emergency Operation Center to ensure immediate relief to the pilgrims in case of any emergency. Different departments associated with the relief operations were also directed to be ready for any emergency in view of the incessant rains in the various parts of the district. He further directed the concerned   to regularly watch the weather forecast and update the same on the website for general information.
The Block Level Committees headed by Naib-Tehsildar were also constituted by the district administration which would provide detailed report of damage occurred due to rains, floods in the nallahs or river to the EOC control room on daily basis.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal besides staff of EOC was present on the occasion.


UDHAMPUR, JULY 09: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar today asked the defence authorities to expedite renovation work on the roads passing through defence areas here at a meeting. 
The DC discussed various issues regarding the repair of Sui-Sambal, Sangoor Bye-pass road and Jib road in defence area by the defence agencies, a district administration spokesperson said.
 Kumar asked the defence authorities to speed up repair work to avoid inconvenience to the people. 
 The meeting attended by Civil and Defence officers also discussed the pending land acquisition cases pertaining to defence establishments.
The meeting was attended by  Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Subash Dogra, Special Collector Defence, Abbul Sattar, IG BSG, STC Udhampur, S.S Dogra, Commandant 1 FOD, Col. Anubhav , Commandant STC BSF, Madan Lal, Commandant 5071 ASC, Tehsildar Udhampur, Ved Parkash, Naib Tehsilar, Balwant Singh besides the  members of the committee constituted for land acquisition,  Patwaries of various Halqas and various officers of civil and defence were present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to acquisition of land for defence purposes by various defence organisations.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised asked revenue officers to expedite the process, resolve all issues and clear pending cases in a time-bound manner. He also asked the officials to work in close coordination with defence authorities and also set timeline for the land acquisition task.
The issue pertaining to engagement of retired revenue officials for clearing the pending cases were also discussed at the meeting.


UDHAMPUR, May 11: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting to finalize the arrangement for 3-day historic annual Shiv- Parvati Shrine mela at Moungri, which is commencing from May 14, 2018, here today.
After holding threadbare discussion on various arrangements related to smooth conduct of mela like security, sanitation, healthcare, transport, drinking water and power supply, ration supply, the DDC directed the officers to ensure that all arrangements pertaining to their departments are made well in advance and in an effective manner leaving no scope of any complaint from any quarter.
The DDC further asked the government departments to put up their stalls at the Mela venue keeping in focus Gram Swaraj Abhiyan so as to generate awareness among people regarding various Government schemes.
During the meeting, DDC also directed the concerned to deploy adequate number of buses for convenience of people.
It was also decided that Youth Services and Sports Department, shall organize rural sports competitions at the venue with Indian style Wrestling Association holding Bhamag Kesari Dangal on the concluding day.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, Patron in chief Shiv-Parvati Caves Shrine Moungri Development board & President Indian Style wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Chairman Shiv-Parvati Caves Shrine, Advocate Swatanter Dev Kotwal, and senior officer of various departments were present on the occasion. 



UDHAMPUR, MARCH 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting to review the progress in implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), first phase in the district for   construction of household toilets in various Panchayats, here today
DDC reviewed the Panchayat wise progress under SBM-G and took feedback from BDOs and field functionaries regarding the total number of household covered alongwith pending households for coverage under SBM to achieve the target of ODF in all blocks of the district.
DDC stressed upon concerned to come up with holistic plan to achieve the objective of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) besides execution of various components of SBM (Gramin)to make the district ODF.
DDC further directed the officers to constitute    district core team for monitoring the progress of SBM during frequent meetings and asked BDOs to frame panchayat wise local teams to motivate and create awareness among people in rural areas for construction and usage of toilets.

UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER-06  The district election cell today organised a two day training programme to sensitize Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) regarding the use of ERO-NET- a newly introduced web-based application for election related activities.
             District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar who is also District Election Officer (DEO) was the chief guest and inaugurated the training programme.  
            The first day of the training programme was held in two sessions for the BLOs and supervisors of Tehsil Udhampur, Panchari and Moungri. The training was conducted through video and power-point presentations in which the participants were explained about various steps involved in the ERO NET including online processing of forms.
            Speaking on the occasion, District election Officer said that ERO-NET has been developed by Election Commission of India (ECI) to achieve the objectives under Unified National Photo Electoral Roll database and to ensure effective implementation of ECI mandate of ‘No Voter to be left behind’.
            Highlighting the objectives of training programme, he impressed upon the officials to take keen interest in learning the operating procedure of the web based portal to avoid problems in the future. 
 The DEO said that the role of BLOs in the process of purification of electoral is very important. He called upon BLOs and supervisors to maintain close coordination for better results.

 The inaugural function was attended by   Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Subhash Dogra, Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal, AEROs of Udhampur, Panchari & Moungri were present on the occasion.
