BANDIPORA, MAY 28: According to Dy District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, the 2nd phase of training programme regarding the use of ERO-NET for ERO's, AERO's, Supervisors and BLO's will be held on May 30, May 31 and June 02, 2018, at 11 am.
As per the schedule, the training programme for 9-Gurez and 10-Bandipora will be held on May 30 and May 31, 2018 respectively at Meeting Hall DC Office Bandipora. The training for 11-Sonawari has been scheduled to be held on June 02, 2018 at Block Development Office Sumbal.
All the concerned have been asked to attend the training programme as per scheduled date, time and venue.


ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 30: Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department, Shahid today convened a meeting at Dak Bungalow, Khannabal to review the progress of the special summary revision of electoral rolls.
Inayatullah, who is also Electoral Roll Observer for Anantnag was briefed by District Election Officer, Mohammad Younis Malik in detail about account of the status of claims and objections, updation of the database and the EPIC status, registration through ERONET and other details.
It was given out that 6 EROs and 12 AEROs have been appointed for the special summary revision of electoral rolls. Detailing further, the DEO said that 510282 electors have been registered against the population of 1078692 of Census 2011.
As many as 10718 voters are falling in the age bracket of 18-19 years, while as 8121 voters are above 80 years of AGE. Besides, it was said that the draft electoral roll has the gender elector ratio of 938 against 927 of 2011 Census.
So far, under Form-6, an addition of 6444 has been made while as under Form-7, 3668 are the deletions. 2849 corrections have been made under Form 8 while, a migration of 277 has been registered under Form-8A by 29th of November, 2017, the meeting was told.
The DEO said that 121 duplications were detected by the software and 9 have been deleted following the field verification."
He said that 13572 claims have been received so far, out of which 8641 have been verified and accepted and 50 claims have been rejected. Still, 2317 claims are under process for which 780 BLOs are on the job to verify them.
Regarding EPIC coverage, the meeting was informed that the district has registered 95.58% electors under EPIC. The DEO said that thrust is being laid on coverage of nomadic and migrant voters, which have been left out so far. The DEO said that 656 booth level officers were given training regarding the use of Election Commission of India launched ERONET application.
With respect to registering the voters of 18-19 years of age, the Commissioner Secretary asked the Chief Education Officer to ensure the 100% registration of the new voters by involving the heads of the educational institutions in the SVEEP activity. He also directed the AEROs to ensure the door-to-door survey besides, mass awareness of the public about the significance of registration process.
The Roll Observer hailed the efforts put in by the election machinery of the district in uploading the data on ERONET. Besides, he expressed satisfaction over the establishment of call centre at the district headquarter which can be contacted on toll-free No: 18001807054.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, ACR, SDMs of Pahalgam, Bijbehara, Kokernag and Dooru, Chief Education Officer, Deputy DEO, District Informatics Officer and all Tehsildars of the district.

Kathua, November 8th:- A Two-day training programme on ERO-Net for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Kathua district commenced here today.
During the session, the participants are being imparted training on online processing of forms through ERO-Net ,role of BLOs in the process and  functionalities provided by ERO-Net like ERs management, polling stations management, electoral services and information on ER entries that electors and citizens can avail through ERO-Net.
Deputy District Election Officer Chand Kishore Sharma said that the ECI in its initiative of ERO NET has rolled out measures to fine-tune the electoral rolls ,provide error-free EPIC cards to voters, lessening paper work as correct form filled at the entry level will be accepted through the system.
It was further informed that BLOs of all five assembly segment in the district, 63- Bani, 64-Basohli ,65-Kathua 66-Billawar, 67-Hirangar and left out BLOs of Kathua assembly segments will be covered in the two days programme.

The training with its interactive session was conducted through video and power-point presentations.
 
UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER-06  The district election cell today organised a two day training programme to sensitize Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) regarding the use of ERO-NET- a newly introduced web-based application for election related activities.
             District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar who is also District Election Officer (DEO) was the chief guest and inaugurated the training programme.  
            The first day of the training programme was held in two sessions for the BLOs and supervisors of Tehsil Udhampur, Panchari and Moungri. The training was conducted through video and power-point presentations in which the participants were explained about various steps involved in the ERO NET including online processing of forms.
            Speaking on the occasion, District election Officer said that ERO-NET has been developed by Election Commission of India (ECI) to achieve the objectives under Unified National Photo Electoral Roll database and to ensure effective implementation of ECI mandate of ‘No Voter to be left behind’.
            Highlighting the objectives of training programme, he impressed upon the officials to take keen interest in learning the operating procedure of the web based portal to avoid problems in the future. 
 The DEO said that the role of BLOs in the process of purification of electoral is very important. He called upon BLOs and supervisors to maintain close coordination for better results.

 The inaugural function was attended by   Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Subhash Dogra, Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal, AEROs of Udhampur, Panchari & Moungri were present on the occasion.

DODA, SEPTEMBER 29: A two-day training programme on ERO-NET, a newly introduced web-based application for election related activities concluded here at meeting hall DC complex today which was aimed at sensitizing EROs, AEROs and BLOs of the district regarding the use of web portal.
On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ERO), Mr. Tariq Hussain Naik said that ERO-NET has been developed by Election Commission of India (ECI) to achieve the objectives under Unified National Photo Electoral Roll database and to ensure effective implementation of ECI mandate of ‘No Voter to be left behind’.
He said that with the use of ERO-NET, a voter can register online on National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) and will be able to track the progress of his/her application.
With regard to the role of BLOs, the DEO said the role of BLOs in the process of election and EPIC generation is pivotal. During the training session, it was discussed that all the functionaries involved in election-related activities shall work in close coordination for better results.
The training was conducted through video and power-point presentations by Shashank, District Informatics Officer.

All ERO's/AERO's, Naib Election Tehsildar, BLOs and other election related staff were also present on the occasion.

            REASI, SEPTEMBER 28: Two day training on ERO-Net services organised for Booth Level Officers (BLO)s of the three constituencies of this district  concluded here today.
            This reformative training on Electoral Registration Officers (ERO)-Net services aims at updating the officials about the online   enrolment, transfer or amendment, rectification and replacement of voter cards thereby ensuring poll efficiency and accurate service delivery in a systematic and economic way.
During the training, the instructors informed the participants that ERO-Net is basically a portal through which voters can apply for any type of services pertaining to the electoral registration process. It was further informed that the portal helps in transfer, rectification or updation of voter cards without wastage of any time and in a very economic way.
The instructors also informed that the applicants can upload their personal documents in PDF format as well as track the status of their applications through SMS alerts and registered e-mails.
Speaking on the occasion, District Election Officer Prasana Ramaswamy G said that this modern technique of electoral enrolment introduced by Election Commission of India will certainly help in eradication of ghost voters and preparing Unified National Photo Electoral Rolls thereby ensuring cent percent accuracy, transparency and wide coverage.
The District Election Officer also stressed upon the trainees to understand well this new technique and motivate the stakeholders for practically adopting this method in electoral registration.
The questions and queries based on operation of ERO-Net portal as raised by the trainees and other participants were also responded one by one by the experts. 

Among other, Deputy District Election Officer Surjeet Singh, DIO NIC Ashish Dogra and other staff members were also present on the occasion.

He said that the system strives to make applicants entry in the e-roll unambiguous and error-free.  
During the training session, it was discussed that all the functionaries involved in election-related activities shall work in close coordination for better results.
It was said that the roll of the web portal is to provide a platform for preparation, maintenance and revision of e-Rolls.
Participants were made aware regarding the various steps involved in the ERONET. Besides, the trainees were asked to generate a demo EPIC using the ERO-Net.

The training sessions were attended by Election Naib Tehsildar, District Informatics Officer, besides BLOs and other election related staff.

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 28:- The district election cell Kathua today organised a training  session on ERO-NET to acquaint the Booth Level Officers with online voter registration and updation mechanism.
 The training programme was inaugurated by District  Election Officer Kathua Ramesh Kumar.
The training program is being conducted to update   the BLOs about adoption of ICT tools like ERO NET launched by the Election Commission of India for online delivery of services.
The DEO asked the BLOs to enroll all the eligible voters during forthcoming special summary revision of photo electoral roll by using the applications of ERO NET to achieve error free electoral roll and  100% photo image of the electors.

The training was conducted through video & power point presentation by District Informatics Officer Sideshwar Bhagat &  Master Trainer from Chief Electoral Officer Vidur Pratap Singh. They explained about online processing of forms through ERO net and role of BLO  in online processing of forms besides highlighting other features like ER management and  polling station management.

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 27: District Election Officer,   Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary on Wednesday, inaugurated two-day training programme on ERO-Net here for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the district.  
The training is being conducted to update BLOs   about adoption of ICTs tools like ERO-Net under ECI-Net system launched by the Election Commission of India.
Highlighting the importance of ICTs usage at various levels in the electoral registration process, Dr. Shahid asked the BLOs to leverage such training programmes by understanding key features and functioning of ERO-Net which would ensure error-free and healthy electoral roll through seamless processing of forms, easy handling of data base, regular and simpler way of monitoring the electoral registration activities.
The system has three components, namely ERO-Net which would link all EROs across the country, Unified National Photo Electoral Rolls Data (UNPER) and Citizen Electoral Services on NVSP.
The training was conducted through video and power-point presentations by Sanjay Puri, District Informatics Officer and assisted by Assistant District Informatics Officer, Ashwani Sharma.   
They explained the participants about online processing of forms through ERO-Net and role of BLOs in online form processing besides highlighting the functionalities provided by ERO-Net like ERs management, polling stations management, electoral services and information on ER entries that electors and citizens can avail through ERO-Net.
Issues like low enrollment of voters in the age group of 18-19 as well as the problems faced by the BLOs in the enrollment process were discussed in intermittent interactive sessions during the programme.   Other relevant queries and doubts raised by the BLOs were also clarified by the Informatics officers.  

Among others who attended the programme were Shrikant Suse, Deputy District Election Officer, Waqar Talib, Nodal Officer SVEEP, AEROs, Shahid Iqbal and Salam Din.

KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 27:  A two day-long workshop on newly introduced national web-based application for election related activities - ERONET concluded here today during which training was imparted to EROs, AEROs and BLOs of the district regarding the use of application.
The programme was held at DIET Kulgam, Higher Secondary Schools of DH Pora, Devsar and Yaripora. On valedictory function, District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, Talat Parvez Rohella said that ERONET application has been developed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) with a mandate that ‘No Eligible Voter is Left Behind’ irrespective of language or physical ability. He said that the system strives to make applicant’s entry in the e-roll unambiguous and error-free.  
During the training session, it was discussed that all the functionaries involved in election-related activities shall work in close coordination for better results.
It was said that the roll of the web portal is to provide a platform for preparation, maintenance and revision of e-Rolls.

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 27: A one day training programme on ERO -Net was organised today by District Election Cell (DEC) here today.
District Election Officer Ravinder Kumar chaired the training which was attended by Deputy District Election Officer Sapna Kotwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Subhash Chander Dogra, besides EROs, AEROs and BLOs from across the district.
Addressing the participants, the DC highlighted   various features of ERO-Net and said that its main objective is to develop a web based system for Electoral official. “It will help seamless handling of the databases, regular and simpler way of monitoring the Electoral Rolls besides helping in maintaining healthy Electoral Rolls”, he added.

Earlier, Deputy District Election Officer gave a detailed power point presentation on the subject and   elaborated various features of the ERO- Net to the trainees.

Says ERONET app to bring every elector under one umbrella

          SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 20: Saying that to achieve the objectives of Unified National Photo Electoral Roll database, Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, Shaleen Kabra said that the launch of ERONET a web based app will contain names of every elector in the country at one place.
The Chief Electoral Officer was speaking at the valedictory function of 2-day training programme held here to sensitize the personnel connected with election related activities about the use of ERONET.
The application has been developed by Election Commission of India (ECI) to achieve the objectives of Unified National Photo Electoral Roll database and to ensure effective implementation of ECI mandate of No Voter to be left behind.
With the ERONET, the voter, who registers online on National Voters Service Portal (NVSP) will be able to track the progress of his application and become aware of the final decision by using the portal.  
In this system, the inclusion, modification, deletion or transposition in the electoral rolls is done by filing and submitting Electoral Roll forms. Forms can be submitted online through the National Voters Service Portal (NVSP) portal is provided in the website of the Election Commission of India http://eci.nic.in.
Offline forms submitted in physical form to the ERO/ AERO/BLO of his or her Assembly Constituency/Polling Station shall be digitized, uploaded and processed in the ERONET.
The system strives to make an applicants entry in the Electoral Roll unambiguous and error free and it will also bring in seamless processing of forms, easy handling of the databases, regular and simpler way of monitoring and maintaining the health of the Electoral Roll informed by Chief Electoral Officer, J&K. He further informed that Initially EPIC generation and Rationalization would be done on State Electoral Roll Management System (ERMS), and after draft publication, complete state Photo Electoral Roll (PER) data would be migrated into UNPER, the Chief Electoral Officer maintained.
On the launching ceremony of ERONET app, the Chief Secretary appreciated the features of the software and underlines the importance of the delivery by public system. He expressed the hope that with this network providing end to end change management with horizontal as well as virtual integration, the primary objective of public delivery system vis., transparency, outreach and efficiency. He also emphasised technology is an enabler and its use needs to be increase in developmental activities. He further affirmed full support of State Government of the initiatives of Election Commission of India.
The Director, ICT (ECI) Dr. Kaushal Pathak gave details of different contact centres, which have been established at National, State and District level for facilitating the electors who can access the public grievances system and make use of contact centres. He also discussed various other IT initiatives that to promote electors registration/participation.
The State Election Department organized 2-day training programme  for effective implementation of this app in the State in which  District Election Officers, Deputy District Election Officers, Election Naib Tehsildars and Election Assistants  across the state participated.
