RAMBAN, MAY 13: Celebrating Swachh Bharat Week to mark the third anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission, District administration Ramban has kicked off district wide mass mobilization activities on No to Polythene, cleanliness and for open defecation free communities.
           As part of the initiative awareness cum cleanliness drive was organized at   Government High School Parnote today where DDC Mohammad Aijaz was the chief guest
            ACD, Jehangir Khanday, DPO, BDO, officers, officials and prominent citizens of area were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC impressed upon the students to help spread awareness about importance of cleanliness and sanitation
              DDC asked to students to avoid polythene bags and use reusable cloth and Jute bags which are eco-friendly and affordable also. He said that polythene bags are big environmental hazard and thousands of animals die every year by eating plastic bags. He sought cooperative of all stakeholders specially the children in checking the use of polythene bags.

            DDC said that "Swachhta Week", the seven days campaign in all Panchyats of district being organized by the RDD will continue to strengthen the initiatives under Swachh Bharat Mission in a big way mobilizing all its resources.
