KULGAM, JUNE 15: District Development Commissioner
Kulgam, Talat Parvez Ruhella, today convened a meeting of engineers of
different wings to review the pace of various developmental works being
executed under R&B, JKPCC and PMGSY in the district.
The DDC was apprised about the different
ongoing projects being executed by different engineering departments which
include the Kilam-Ashmuji Bridge, Finance Complex, Residential Quarters at
Lirow, Shamsi-Wanpora Bridge, Maternity and Childcare hospital and Labri Pora
Laroo Road in Kulgam.
The DDC
directed the Engineers to submit Pert Chart of all the ongoing important
projects so that stage wise progress would be monitored regularly, which he
said will improve the work culture and ensure timely completion of projects.
While
calling for expediting work on ongoing projects particularly of JKPCC and
Police Housing Corporation, the DDC stressed upon the Engineers to make
judicious use of funds. He asked them to redouble their efforts for completion
of the projects within the stipulated time.
The
meeting was also informed that under Central Road Fund the District Kulgam was
sanctioned three major bridges to have proper Road connectivity which includes
Rs 34 crore Brazloo-Pahloo bridge on NH 444, Adijan-DH Pora bridge costing Rs20
crore and Ashthal bridge to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.
The
Superintending Engineer on the occasion briefed the DDC that tendering process
of these important bridges have already been done and work will start soon on
these projects.
While
taking a detailed review of PMGSY, the DDC asked the concerned to speed up the
land acquisition cases for speedy completion of projects under the programme
well in time.
The
meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer Anantnag/Kulgam, Divisional
Engineers of R&B, JKPCC, PMGSY, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Director
Planning and other concerned.
