RAJOURI, JUNE 20: District Administration, Rajouri organised a
public grievances redressal and awareness camp on Centrally Sponsored Schemes ,
Public Service Guarantee Act and Right to Information Act apart from welfare
schemes for students, women, children, militancy affected and destitute.

Defence Abdul Qayoom, SDM Thanamandi Afzal Mirza, CMO Dr Suresh, PO IWMP Shafiq
Choudhary, DSWO Dr Abdul Khabir, ExEn of PHE, PWD, PMGSY, Mechanical,
EM&RE, and district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
People from Thanamandi shared their views on the schemes and expressed
gratitude to district administration for a widespread public outreach
programme.
Departmental resource persons and district officers presented details
of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and welfare schemes launched by State Government
which included NOAPS, Widow Pension, AASRA, MIDH, NFBS, PMKSY, SBM, MGNREGA,
JKEDI schemes and a number of schemes related to farming sectors like
horticulture, agriculture, sericulture, fisheries, animal and sheep husbandry.
Departments also presented a detailed resume of achievements under the
scheme in district and schedule of various awareness and enrolment camps being
organised.
DDC asked the departments to formulate village and panchayat wise
development plan under various sectors and asked for convergence plan to
promote horticulture in the region.
Dr Shahid stressed on mass movement and concerted efforts for promoting
education in the area, adding that education and awareness will lead to actual
empowerment of masses. He thanked the people for overwhelming response to camps
organised for providing services covered under PSGA and informed that such a
series of camps will continue in July as well.
So fare more than 5500 certificates have been issued in ongoing 112
camps notified for this month.
Speakers in the public meeting lauded the efforts for district
administration for taking service delivery to doorsteps of people and launching
a dedicated project for construction of 100 buildings for building-less schools
which will be a great step towards strengthening education sector in the
district.
Earlier, the DDC inspected Horticulture nursery at Nerojal and Govt
Higher Secondary School Fatehpur. He asked the horticulture department for
initiating steps to modernise Nerojal nursery and create is at hub for
horticulture development in the region.
It was also decided that Rural Development Department will construct a
culvert for nursery and track for GHSS Fatehpur for facilitating movement of
students.
