CASO operation launched in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 30 : Security forces launched a massive search operation in three localities in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, where two to three militants are holed up, official sources said.
  They said troops of 13 Rashitriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at Gujjar Pati, Gund Dashna and Malikpora in Bandipora today following a tip off about the presence of militants.
  All exit points were sealed by the security forces to foil any attempt by militants to escape, they said.
  However, to prevent people from taking to streets, additional security forces had been deployed and residents of these areas were directed to remain indoor.
The operation was still going on when the reports last came in, they said adding there are two to three militants holed up in the area.UNI
