New Delhi, Aug 14 :  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been making tall claims from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the last three years, should tell the people of the country, with the help of facts and figures, what was the current scenario, as far as his promises were concerned, former Union Cabinet Minister Anand Sharma said today. "On the 70th anniversary of the Independence Day tomorrow, Mr Modi will address the nation from the Red Fort. He should take out a list of his achievements and failures, so as to let the public know the reason for job loss and slow economy," he added. Talking about BJP National President Amit Shah's controversial statements, calling Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi a 'chatur baniya' and bracketing Congress as a Special Purpose Vehicle used during the Freedom Struggle, the former Minister said the ruling party has a business-minded approach towards the country. Asked about Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and others great leaders, the Congress leader said if they can't acknowledge their contribution, they should not insult them either. He suggested Mr Shah to read the Discovery of India, written by Nehru. UNI
