Srinagar, Aug 17 : Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have arrested three persons and recovered arms and ammunition in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, a police spokesman said here this evening.
He said on a specific information Rashitriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a search operation in the orchards at Wangipora, Sumbal, in Bandipora.
During the operation three persons identified as Altaf Ahmad Mir, Irshad Ahmad Mir and Waseem Ahmad Dar were arrested.
Two hand grenades, one magazine and 15 rounds of ammunition were recovered from their possession, he said adding further investigation has been taken up.UNI
