Department to ensure Development of Nagrus Village on modern lines
KULGAM,
OCTOBER 06: District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Talat Parvez Rohella,
today convened a meeting of District officers to review the progress of Tribal
Sub Plan here in the meeting hall of DC office complex.
The
meeting held thread bare discussion on developing village Nagrus (Kund) which
is predominantly a ST inhabited as a model village. While talking the review,
the DDC directed the concerned nodal officer to hold a public darbar on Monday in the village so that
the immediately felt needs of the population would be taken care of.
The DDC
enjoined upon the officers present to come up with plan which will suffice the
locals needs & demands on top priority.
It is
pertinent to mention that under Tribal Sub Plan the government has approved
development of Nagrus Village as a model village upon which Rs 10 cr
would be spent in three years.
This would in turn raise the socio economic potential of the area besides
generating employment opportunities the meeting was informed.
The meeting was attended by Nodal Officer for tribal
sub plan (ACD), ACR, Xens of PDD, R&B, PHE, CMO, CEO, & other District
Officers of allied departments.
