Agriculture deptt organise awareness camps in Mahore

            REASI, OCTOBER 30: Continuing with its efforts to educate farmers of backward areas regarding modern techniques of farming and crop insurance cover, Agriculture Department organized awareness camps under Seed Village Programme in different places of Sub-division Mahore.

            The first camp was held at Sarsote Malikote areas in which the farmers were made aware on schemes and programmes of Agriculture Department.

SADO Anil Koul while educating farmers assured them of providing timely supply of quality seeds, hybrid and open pollinated in the areas by the department.

            The other camp was held at Dhamni Sungri where experts AEO Dhara Singh, Sushil Thakur and Sanjeev Thakur educated the farmers on diversification of cultivation, use of modern techniques for farming, minimum use of fertilizers and focus on locally prepared manure.

            The experts also spoke on subsidy related schemes of agriculture, benefits of PMFBY, KCC, soil heath card scheme and apiculture, mushroom cultivation, vegetable crop. The farmers were also assured training by the experts in near future.
