GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 26: Minster for Youth Services and
Sports, IT and Technical Education, Imran Raza Ansari inaugurated a girls
hostel block of Government Physical Education College Gadura, Ganderbal here
today.
The hostel block completed at a cost of Rs 3 crore is having 2 stories,
comprising 16 rooms to accommodate 50 girl students and also has a recreation
hall, mess hall, reading room, a dormitory, and accommodation for a warden.
Speaking on the occasion, Ansari announced that efforts be made that
facilities at the College are upgraded. For boosting physical education among
young educated youth, Ansari announced that 3000 posts have been sanctioned by
the Cabinet for recruitment under Rehbar Khel Scheme. The Minister advised Youth to put hard work in their studies to achieve
high standards in life. He further impressed upon them to remain away from the
menace of drug addiction and also play a role in rooting out the hazard.
Earlier,
Ansari released magazine of the College and a book on Research Methodologies
and Statistics in Physical Education on the occasion.
A glittering and colourful function was organized to celebrate Annual
Day of the College. Students presented colourful cultural programmes and participated
in March Past in honour of the Minister.
Commissioner Secretary Youth Services and Sports, Hilal Ahmad Parray,
Director Youth Service and Sports, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, Director Physical
Education University of Kashmir, Principal of the College and various sports
personalities were present on the occasion.
