KULGAM, OCTOBER 26: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in
collaboration with District Administration and JK Bank Thursday organized
a mega awareness camp-cum-loan mela here at DC Office Complex Kulgam.
The
day-long programme was organized for the unemployed educated youth of Kulgam
district particularly college pass outs.
Member
Parliament, Nazir Ahmad Laway was the chief guest on the occasion besides MLA
Kulgam, M. Y. Tarigami, MLA Noorababd, Abdul Majeed Padder, Director JKEDI, Dr.
M I Parray, DDC Kulgam, Talat Parvez, Principals of Kulgam GDCs also attended
the programme.
Speaking
on the occasion MP Laway thanked the JKEDI and district administration for
holding such a mega programme for the first time in the Kulgam. He requested
the youth to get registered and receive necessary professional training from
the said Institute so that they become self-reliant.
Earlier,
Director JKEDI in his welcome address thanked all the participants particularly
the youth of district Kulgam. He spoke at length about the schemes and ventures
sponsored by JKEDI. “Youth needs to change their mindset for getting absorbed in private
sector” he added.
During the programme, a number of budding entrepreneurs shared their
success stories who have established their units after getting proper training
and financial assistance from JKEDI.
Others who were also present on the occasion include all the district
officers, Principals of ITI’s, HSSs and some self-help groups.
