JAMMU, OCTOBER 25: Minister
for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today conducted an extensive tour
of Ban, Baran Panchayat, Mishriwala Panchayat, Marjali and other areas of
Raipur-Domana constituency and took stock of various ongoing development works.
Stressing on strict adherence of timelines, the Minister directed the
concerned officials for proper utilization of resources in a time-bound manner
to ensure holistic and sustainable development of the constituency.
Bali Bhagat stressed for ensuring transparency in the working and asked
the concerned officers to submit the status reports regularly to his office. He
asked the officers to adopt cost efficient methods for quality work and
exhorted upon them for close monitoring of ongoing projects.
During the tour, the Minister also kick started black topping of 3.75 km
long road at an estimated cost of Rs 1.17 cr at Marjali. The Minister directed
the concerned officials to complete the work in a time bound manner to benefit
the locals at the earliest. The augmentation of road will meet the long pending
demand of the locals.
Highlighting the development initiatives taken by him, Bali Bhagat said
that delivering good governance at the doorsteps of the people is his priority.
About 120 km road was black topped and more than 200 transformers were
installed in the constituency in last 2 and half years, he added.
The Minister also interacted with local residents and gave a patient
hearing to their issues. He assured them that all their genuine concerns will be
looked into on priority and directed the concerned officials to take adequate
measures to mitigate the problems of the locals at the earliest.
Locals appreciated the efforts of the Minister and expressed their
gratitude for taking up their long pending demands on priority and also brought
some other issues to his notice for early disposal.
Senior functionaries of concerned departments besides prominent citizens
of the areas were present on the occasion.
