Oct 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here today to attend the
centenary celebration of Patna University and also launch projects worth Rs
3031 Crores in Bihar. Mr Modi was received by Governor Satyalpal Malik and
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on his arrival here at Patna Airport. Mayor of
Patna Sita Sahu, state Animal Husbandry Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, former
Bihar Legislative Council chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, BJP spokesperson
Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, senior BJP leaders Harenedra Pratap, Sukhda Pandey,
Kiran Ghai and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Soon
after his arrival, Mr Modi drove straight to Patna University where he would
inaugurate its centenary celebration. After the function, he would fly off to
Mokama to launch various projects worth Rs 3031 crores including construction
of a six-lane bridge over the Ganga river. Mr Modi would return to New Delhi
after launching the projects in Mokama. UNI
