BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 13: A public darbar and a training camp cum workshop on disaster management practices were held today in the district.
          The public darbar was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Bandipora Sajad Hussain at chuntimulla Bandipora. 
          A large number of people from adjoining villages participated in the darbar and raised issues related to basic amenities like roads, schools, power supply, drinking water, medicare facilities, transport, timber, telecommunication towers, issuance of solar lights, establishment of tailoring and cutting centre and establishment of Aadhar Center.
          The DDC while taking cognizance of the public demands issued on the spot instructions to  concerned  officers to redress genuine problems of the people. He assured people that the projected demands would be redressed in a phased manner.
          Meanwhile, the district administration today organised a training camp cum workshop on Disaster Management in which students of various schools and SDRF personnel participated. The camp was presided over by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Masarat Hashim.

          On the occasion, experts threw light on disaster management and displayed various techniques which could be utilized during disasters to mitigate the loss of property and life.
