Patna,
Oct 9: Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar today said
estranged party leader Sharad Yadav was no more on path of socialism and
instead he was actively protecting dynasticism and corruption of a particular
family in the name of conserving shared heritage and culture. Mr Kumar, after
Lok Samvad programme organised at his official residence 1, Anne Marg, told
media persons here, that Mr Yadav was no more following the path of socialism
and he was now engaged in protecting dynasticism of a particular political
family in Bihar, in the name of conserving shared heritage and culture of the
country. The Chief Minister also took pot-shot at Mr Yadav for the claims that
his faction was real JD(U), saying Election Commission had rejected their
petitions in this connection on two occasions. Organisational elections in
JD(U) were held as per constitution of the party and Election Commission was
also informed in this regard, he said adding that his party had submitted all
relevant documents with affidavits to the apex election body while the camp of
Mr Yadav was still struggling to provide documents sought by the EC. Mr Kumar
said his decision to snap ties with grand alliance and join hands with NDA, was
taken in the interest of Bihar. During the last two months, both his government
and the Central government were working in tandem with each other for
development of Bihar, he maintained. All works were being done in the spirit of
decentralisation, which was the essence of teachings of Ram Manohar Lohiya and
Jai Prakash Narain, he pointed out. UNI
