REASI, OCTOBER 07: A day
long training session was today held at Reasi by the Commercial Taxes
Department in collaboration with District Administration to acquaint
stakeholders about the new tax regime.
During the training programme, the participants were imparted practical
training on different aspects of GST and its implication in the society.
The chief guest, ADDC Ramesh Chander said that district administration would provide
every possible support to the commercial taxes department in organizing such
training sessions and awareness programmes on GST so that all DDOs and business
men are well acquainted with this new tax regime.
The ADDC said that the aim of the training is to know the apprehensions,
doubts and genuine problems that are anticipated by industries, firms,
contractors and traders after the rollout of GST in the state.
The officers of C&T gave detailed presentation on different matters
related to registration process, Tax deduction, filling returns, submission of
return, Mode of TDS payment, issues of TDS certificate, penalty, interest,
digital signatures etc.
The resource persons, through lectures, explained in detail all the
components of new GST Act and the consequences and results after implementation
and putting up the act in public domain.
Some basic issues and queries related to the implementation of the act
were also discussed threadbare. It was assured by the officers of C & T
department that supportive system has been evolved to assist the stakeholders
for accessing registration under new GST law. The officers also shared
7051889993 as helpline contact for the lodging queries.
Others present on the occasion were ACR Harbans Lal, DPO Suriender Mohan
Sharma, GM DIC Anil Thakur, PO IWMP Vevaik Phonsa, DSWO Kulraj Singh, CMO Dr.
L.D. Bhagat, XENs and various other officers were present in the training.
