Patna, Nov 13: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today dismissed allegations of RJD chief Lalu Prasad regarding cancellation of Energy Ministers' conference at Rajgir, saying it was decision of the Central government and reason behind it was best known to it.
Mr Kumar told media persons here that two day conference of Energy Ministers of states scheduled on November 10 and 11 at Rajgir were cancelled at last moment by the Central government. Reason behind its cancellation should be enquired from the Central government as Bihar government was playing the role of only a felicitator, he remarked. The Chief Minister said, last moment cancellation of the conference was really an embarrassment. Some guests had already arrived for the event while others were on way, he pointed out. Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, who was present on the occasion, said decision to hold states Energy Ministers conference in Bihar was taken at similar conference held in Baroda. Bihar would have got credit for organising the event, had it been held as per schedule, he added.  As it is, few days back, RJD chief Lalu Prasad had alleged that last minute cancellation of the conference by Central government was an attempt to cut to size Mr Kumar and Bihar government had spent Crores of rupees for the event which went into drains. UNI
