New Delhi, Nov 1: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi joined hands in condemning the terror attack in New York on Wednesday.
They chose different platforms to raise voice against the Lower Manhattan terror attack in which eight lives were lost and left 12 people injured.
The Vice President took to the microblogging site Twitter to condemn the dastardly attack. 'Strongly condemn the terror attack in New York in which 8 people were killed and several injured,' Mr Naidu tweeted.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, 'Strongly condemn the terror attack in New York City. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased and prayers with those injured.
AICC chief Sonia Gandhi called for sustained global efforts to combat terrorism, while terming the act as an 'unacceptable act' of brutal terror against innocent citizens.
'Our heart goes out to the families of those who have lost the family members. India wages a battle against the menace of terrorism everyday and has made innumerable sacrifices in this battle.
'New York attack is once again a stark reminder that the International community should work towards a concerted and sustained fight against global network of terror, ' she added. UNI
