Meerut,
Nov 17: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch his civic
poll campaign from Muzaffarnagar on Saturday.
The CM will address three election meetings on Saturday at Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Ghaziabad. Polling in Muzaffarnagar will be held in the second phase on November 26 while Meerut will go to polls in the first phase on November 22. The political observers feel that launching the poll campaign of the state from Ayodhya on November 14 and now to start the campaign of western UP from Muzaffarnagar gives clear indication about the Hindutva agenda of the BJP. Muzaffarnagar had witnessed communal riots in the recent past taking lives of more than 64 people while over 50 thousand families were rendered homeless. The issue was prime agenda for the BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and had cornered the Samajwadi Party, which was in power in the state at that time. On November 19, Yogi will address other sensitive areas like Aligarh and Agra which too hold the key to the success of the BJP in the civic polls. UNI
