Over 200 certificates, 55 mutations
attested in camp

DECEMBER 23: To reach out to the people in remote areas for delivering
public services at their doorstep, District Development Commissioner Reasi,
Prasanna Ramaswamy G today held a public grievances camp at Laiter Pouni.
The DDC was accompanied by SSP Tahir Bhat, ACR Harbans Lal, ACD MY Malik, CEO
B.S. Jaral, Executive Engineer PDD Thakur Dass, DPO Harpal Singh, Tehsildar
Rajesh Barru and various other district
and block level officers.
The major issues flagged by public include doctors and X-Ray machine at PHC
Laiter, crop damage insurance, power receiving center, garbage disposal plant
at Bhambla, activation of water supply schemes, replacement of outdated water
supply pipes, inclusion of genuine people in PMAY lists, development of Dada
Masan Devsthan, up-gradation of schools and medical centers, lorry Adda at
Bhambla, Jhola bridges in unconnected places, check dams, construction of
boundary walls in schools, improvement of new link roads etc.
After patiently listening to the grievances of the people, the DDC redressed
some of the public grievances on-spot and for rest assured the people that
district administration would take all necessary steps to resolve them in time
bound manner.
DDC directed the officers to remain in contact with the people and pay regular
visits in all remotest areas to build confidence besides ensuring the quality
of developmental works and disseminating awareness about ongoing schemes of
state and centre governments among public.
He
instructed the officers to initiate village-wise campaigns to educate the
common masses regarding schemes and programmes which can ease the services
delivery system.
Earlier, the DDC visited Tehsil Office Pouni and listened demands and issues of
a public deputation. He paid visit in Government Hr Sec School and hospital
where he inspected the education and health care facilities.
At Bhambla, the DDC along with SSP Reasi inspected the site where a police
chowki is being established by the police department. Enroute, he also paid
visit in PHC Bhambla where demand of establishing trauma center was raised.
During the camp, the revenue officers also issued 153 PRCs and 49 categories
certificates besides attesting 55 mutations of different types.
Speaking on good governance, the DDC urged the people to come forward with
innovative plans and ideas so that schemes of government are implemented on the
ground in letter and spirit. He asked the locals to extend cooperation in
resolving issues of construction works of buildings, roads, bridges, foot paths
etc.
