Minister for Revenue Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Abdul Rehman
Veeri today reviewed the implementation of Chief Minister’s commitment in
Anantnag.
He reviewed the status of various public importance projects in different
sectors including roads, buildings, school, agriculture, horticulture;
education committed by Chief Minister.
Veeri assured the officers that adequate funds would for released for the
implementation of all the 283 decisions/ directions.
He stressed on maintaining synergy between different departments to expedite
the speedy implementation of Chief Minister’s decision.
He also impressed on the concerned agencies to give
credibility officers to the institutions as committed by the present
government.
The Revenue Minister asked the officers to expedite the land acquisition for
the projects at the earliest and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to the
concerned agencies for the earliest implementation.
While expressing satisfaction over the implementation of Chief Minister’s decisions, the
Minister directed the officers to further speed up the process of implementing
decisions.
During the meeting, Veeri said that implementation of decisions at an earliest
would provide succor to the common man who had approached Chief Minister with a
hope of redressal of their issues.
“People
have a lot of expectations with the present dispensation and it is our duty to
fulfil their expectations,”
he said.
He reiterated the commitment of the government to develop all the regions of
the state and bring governance to the doorsteps of the people.
Stressing the importance of the implementation of the road
infrastructure projects, Veeri said that better connectivity is one of the
driving forces of the economy.
He also voiced the
importance of horticulture sector in Kashmir and its contribution to employment
generation and economy of the state.
“Horticulture
sector has supported the people of Kashmir even in bad times. We need to ensure
that initiatives like irrigation schemes, introduction of high-density apple
plants aimed to increase the production for better returns are implemented at
earliest for the betterment of our growers.”
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik gave a detailed overview of
all the decisions and directions of Chief Minister and their implementation
status.
The meeting was attended by the
concerned officers from line departments.
