Srinagar, Dec 2: Advising Congress to continue to raise issues which forces the Bhartiya Janata
Party (BJP) on the defensive, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar
Abdullah said national security and religion are the strongest areas of any BJP
campaign.
Taking to micro blogging site Twitter, working president of
National Conference (NC) Abdullah said, 'National Security & Religion
(particularly Hinduism & all things related to it) are the strongest areas
of any BJP campaign”. He further tweeted that “The Congress would do well to
remember that while they have all their spokespersons & leaders
talking/tweeting about what a good Hindu Rahul is”. But, he said, “The Congress can’t win the “we are better
Hindus than the BJP” argument so better to get back to talking about issues
that had the BJP on the defensive”. Mr Abdullah also retweeted a tweet of former union minister
and Congress leader P Chidambaram “BJP is indeed the winner in UP and
congratulations are in order, but is winning about 28 per cent of all contested
posts a 'sweep'?. UNI
