PULWAMA,
MARCH 20: A function was held today to observe ‘World Oral Health Day’ here at
district hospital to raise awareness of the issues around oral health and the
importance of oral hygiene.
District
Development Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar was the chief guest on
the occasion. The function was attended by anumber of health
officials and students from different schools of the district.
The theme
for this year is ‘Say Ahh: Think Mouth, Think Health’.
Speaking on
the occasion, the DDC said the campaign encourages people to make the
connection between their oral health and their general health and well-being.
Later, the
DDC also flagged-off students rally to raise awareness of oral health and
prevention of oral diseases.
