BANDIPORA, MARCH 20: An amount of
over Rs 359 crore, constituting 86 percent of total Annual Credit Plan of Rs
419.57 crore for the year 2017-18 has been utilised in district Bandipora till
December end.
This was revealed at District Level
Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) meeting, held under the chairmanship
of District Development Commissioner Bandipora Sajjad Hussain here today.
The Lead District Manager, Imtiyaz
Ahmad Khan; District Development Manager, NABARD, Zubair Wasil, Representative
RBI, Ram Kuwar; District Coordinators of various Financial Institutions and
Officers from Line Departments were present in the meeting.
The meeting was informed that 917
income generating units have been established in the district under
Handicrafts, Handlooms, Dairy, Industries and other centrally sponsored Schemes
during these nine months.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC
stressed upon the Bankers and the Line Departments to work in tandem to get the
best results at ground level. He also enjoined upon them to launch a vigorous
awareness campaign, especially in rural and far-flung areas of the district so
that the poor people, who otherwise have less exposure and access, could be
benefited.
DDC later launched the
"Potential Linked Credit Plan for 2018-19 " which was presented by
District Development Manager, NABARD. Under this plan, NABARD has approved a
credit plan of Rs 475.79 crore which include Rs 424.96 crore for priority
sector and Rs 50.83 crore for none priority sector.
