Agartala, Apr 21: The
BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav is scheduled to attend the BJP state
committee meet tomorrow here, to finalise the future plan of action.
Party organization secretary Ajoy Jambal, convener of
Northeast Democratic Alliance (NDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma, party observer of
Tripura Sunil Deodhar and organisation minister of the party of the region
Fanindra Nath Sarma will also be present in the meet.
Party state president and chief minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb said that the meeting is crucial to enhance the political activity at the grassroot level, keeping in mind of 2019 general election. This is the first formal meeting of the party with top leaders of BJP after new government formed in Tripura about one and half months ago.
The meeting will also decide the leadership issues, as it has become tough for Deb to look after party activities in more comprehensive manner now. The party activities slowed down, and a vacuum was created at the organisation level. Internal feud among the leadership has also been reported.
According to the schedule, BJP leaders will attend the state committee meeting at Sahid Bhagwat Singh youth Hostel on April 22 and in the afternoon they will assemble with the state office bearers and hold discussions on their suggestions. UNI
