ANANTNAG, JUNE 06: MLA Doru Syed Farooq Andrabi along with District
Development Commissioner Mohammad Younis Malik and Engineers of PHE &
R&B Departments today visited Bakerwal Check Munzmoo Qazigund to take stock
of the drinking water facilities and road connectivity.
Pertinent to mention that people of some Gujjar
pattis of Bakerwal Check Munzmoo were facing drinking water supply problem and
had approached the MLA and that DDC Anantnag for necessary action in the
matter. The MLA directed Engineers of PHE to provide additional water pipes for
the upper reaches of the Gojjar Bastis of Bakerwal check. To cater the demand
of drinking water a bore well has already been setup at Bakerwal Check Munzmoo.
The
DDC approached Chief Engineer PHE for providing water pipes and to direct the
concerned PHE Engineers to ensure proper drinking water supply for the left-out
families.
