JAMMU, JULY 31: A blood donation camp was organized by 160 Bn CRPF and FCI Camp here at Chatha.
Around 25 officers/staff members donated Blood voluntarily at the camp organized in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Blood Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College, Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society, Jammu.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CRPF P.C. Jha, and Commanding officer Surinder Kumar inaugurated the camp. They appreciated the efforts put in by IRCS, Jammu Region and Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu for organization of Blood Donation Camp successfully. They assured to arrange more Blood Donation Camp in the future.
The Camp was organized under the supervision of Dinesh Gupta, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.
Prominent among others present were Mukesh Yadav, Deputy Commandment, 160 Bn CRPF, FCI.


Historic steps taken for JKs equitable development
JAMMU, MARCH, 17: Describing the steps taken by present dispensation for holistic development of all the three regions of the State as historic, the Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, Saturday, said that the initiatives taken in this regard would ensure that the people of the State would get all the requisite and modern facilities bringing them at par with the developed States in next few years.
Speaker was addressing a public meeting at Chatta in the outskirts of Jammu City.
He said that with the liberal funding of the central government and coordinated efforts of the state government necessary work on several ambitious projects is in progress while as several other prestigious projects have already been commissioned and dedicated to the people of State. We believe in action rather than announcements or paper work only said the Speaker.
While spelling out on several initiatives taken for holistic development of the Gandhi Nagar Constituency, the Speaker said that Gandhi Nagar has witnessed a massive development during present regime.
He said a beautiful Park at an estimated cost of Rs 5.28 crore is under development in Jeevan Nagar, while as necessary formalities have been completed to develop the Parks at Digiana and Nanak Nagar. He said 7 Km road from Sunjwan onwards have been macadamized at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore which have benefitted a huge population of the area.
The Speaker said that construction work on 200 bedded Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, Gangyal, has almost been completed and will be commissioned during this year.
He said that 290 transformers have been installed and 100 Sulabh Suchalaiyas were constructed in the Gandhi Nagar Constituency, during last three years.
Responding to the demands of the people, the Speaker said that the road leading to Chatta from main road which is in shambles will be macadamized during this year for which funds should be arranged soon. He said that dewatering from the area, street lighting and construction of lanes and drains should also be ensured.
Speaker directed the officers of all the concerned departments to ensure that the problems of the inhabitants are redressed within the shortest possible time. He emphasized for a close liaison should be established with the people for need based and proper implementation of various programmes so that holistic development is ensured.

Listens to peoples issues
JAMMU, OCTOBER 07: Speaker Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today inspected ongoing construction and repair works in Chatha area including renovation of facilities at the local Cremation Ground.
 The Speaker directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the work for early completion. 
 Upon the request of the locals, the Speaker assured them that renovation of Cremation Shed, Entry Gate & other allied works would be undertaken at the earliest. He further assured that the demand for construction of pulley over local nallah and construction of pathway towards the cremation ground would also be taken into consideration. He also directed the officials to identify the land for parking purpose near the cremation ground.
The Speaker said that it was prime responsibility of the government to keep such places in a good condition to avoid inconvenience to the people.
He further said that the repair and construction works of other cremation grounds will also be taken up soon.
The locals also apprised Speaker about other problems faced by them.
Responding to the demands, the Speaker said that the process of improving the electricity supply, water supply, upgrading of lanes and drains has already been taken up and left out issues would be resolved at the earliest.
To strengthen drainage network, Kavinder directed the concerned officials for renovation of nallahs in the area.
Listing dev works taken up in the area, the Speaker said that he was making all out efforts to fulfill the demands of the people of his home constituency. 
Asserting that welfare of the people was top priority of the government, Kavinder directed the concerned officials to redress public grievances in a time-bound manner. Any carelessness in redressal of the just demands of the public shall not be tolerated he asserted.

Senior officers of concerned departments, local residents, social and political activists were also present on the occasion.

JAMMU, JUNE 9: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated a tube well at Ward No. 2 Bhore Camp, Chatha which will provide potable water to over 23,000 souls of the area.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker said with commissioning of this tube well, the water supply in the area would be further augmented. He asked the people to use water resources in a judicious manner adding that we should treat public utilities as our own property so that these public assets are maintained and optimally utilized.
While elaborating on government's efforts of extending enhanced basic amenities to every part of the state, Speaker said that present dispensation is committed towards public Welfare and has launched a number of innovative schemes in this regard. He said that it is firm determination of the government to ensure a more responsive, transparent and accountable administration to and sough public participation strengthening the initiatives of the government.

Senior officers and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.

Jammu : farmers awareness camp cum meeting was conducted at village chatha farm. In which officers from Agriculture Department S. Harbhajan singh (AEO Dharp) S. Gurmeet singh (JAEO Bhour west) vikram khanna & Manmohan singh ( VAEO’s ) educated the farmers regarding different schemes of the department viz KCC, PMFBY and the DBT.

Verification of SDRF list for the year Kharif 2014 by the revenue authorities was also one of the important agenda of the meeting for which NB. Tehsildar Mubrak Ali (satwari ) and Mr. shayid Patwari Chatha also attended the meeting and verify the
actual destruction of loss the peoples..
Meeting was orgaised by S. Avtar singh (ex- chairman Panchyat chatha) and S. Devinder singh (social activist chatha farm)
