JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 17:  The agriculture department today finalized modalities for the procurement of Paddy after Kharif Season harvest here at a meeting chaired by Director Agriculture, H. K. Razdan.
The meeting stressed upon smooth and timely procurement of paddy by the Food Corporation of India. The arrangement of space, logistic support and necessary facilities for organizing procurement mandies by the FCI, F, CS&CA and Agriculture Departments respectively were discussed threadbare.
Instructions were issued to Agriculture, F, CS&CA and FCI departments to give wide publicity to purity/quality standards for Grade A and Common Grade paddy required to make it fit for procurement by FCI at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The government has set MSP of Rs. 1770/- per quintal for Grade A and Rs. 1750/- per quintal for Common Grade Paddy.
 It was informed in the meeting that 11 procurement centers for Jammu district, 7 for Kathua and 1 procurement centers (Mandies) for Samba are being opened this year to save the farmers from distress sale of their produce.
 The meeting was attended by Deputy Director FCS&CA Jammu, Kulraj Singh, Deputy General Manager, FCI, Jammu, P. K. Behura, Area Manager FCI Jammu, Rupesh Kumar Shah, AGM, FCI, Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sinha, I/C Deputy Director Agriculture (Central) Jammu, Jagmohan Bhat, ADO Jammu, S. K. Langer, CAO Kathua, Arun Gupta, Subject Matter Specialist (DL), S. K. Bhagat and S. N. Uppal.


Stock supply position reviewed in Budgam
BUDGAM, AUGUST 13: Commissioner Secretary FCS&CA, Dr Abdul Rasheed accompanied by Director FCS&CA Kashmir Nisar Ahmad Wani today took an extensive tour of District Budgam in order to have an on spot assessment of services rendered by sale outlets, FP shops existing in various areas across the district.
During the visit, the Commissioner Secretary inspected many sale outlets, FP shops located in Humhama, Shogpora, Ichgam and Bugroo in Khansahib area etc. The authorities also had a firsthand inspection of FCI Godown Sheikhpora, Tariq Roller Flour Mill and other adjacent food granaries to ascertain the quality of food grains stored there.
The Commissioner Secretary during the inspection was told that while receipt and supply of food grains, all the required parameters are strictly adhered and followed. The supply is issued under NFSA and all the sale outlets and FP shop owners have been directed to distribute the supply purely through digital weighing scales. In addition rate lists issued by the concerned authorities shall be kept on display positively.
Later the Commissioner Secretary took a review meeting in which all TSOs and other concerned also participated.
During the meeting, a detailed review was taken about stock and supply position in Budgam. Briefing the meeting AD Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad said that there is sufficient stock in respect of foodgrains available at all sale outlets and FP shops for supply, however keeping in view impending festival of Eid-ul-Azha proactive measures have been formulated to ensure no scarcity of any supply, other essentials could occur during the prescribed period.
While taking strong note of slow pace of AADHAR seeding, the commissioner secretary directed all TSOs to complete all AADHAR seedings within next three days. He also directed for completing lifting and distribution of all food grains by or before 18th of August 2018. He urged upon the officers and concerned staff to work with dedication and reiterated no dereliction of duties or leniency in disposal will be tolerated.
The Commissioner Secretary on dereliction of duty and irresponsible conduct ordered the suspension of TSO Budgam along with his attachment with Ads office Budgam.


JAMMU, JULY 31: A blood donation camp was organized by 160 Bn CRPF and FCI Camp here at Chatha.
Around 25 officers/staff members donated Blood voluntarily at the camp organized in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Blood Transfusion Department, Govt. Medical College, Jammu and J&K State Aids Control Society, Jammu.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CRPF P.C. Jha, and Commanding officer Surinder Kumar inaugurated the camp. They appreciated the efforts put in by IRCS, Jammu Region and Blood Transfusion Department, GMC, Jammu for organization of Blood Donation Camp successfully. They assured to arrange more Blood Donation Camp in the future.
The Camp was organized under the supervision of Dinesh Gupta, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.
Prominent among others present were Mukesh Yadav, Deputy Commandment, 160 Bn CRPF, FCI.


SRINAGAR, MAY 24: Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today chaired a meeting to discuss the release of funds for the procurement of food grains for distribution to the consumers of the state.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Principal Secretary Finance Navin Kumar Chaudhary, Commissioner Secretary FCS&CA, Dr Abdul Rashid, Director Budget, Financial Advisor FCS&CA and other senior officers of the departments.
The meeting discussed threadbare the issues regarding the procurement of food grains including rice, wheat and sugar and the allocation of funds for the same.
The Minister asked the department to reconcile with the amount required to procure food grains from Food Corporation of India (FCI). He asked the officials to put their heads together to make a proposal for allocation of fundswithin two days so that further action with regard to the release of funds is taken.
Bukhari urged the officials to expedite the process so that food grains can be procured at earliest and people do not suffer any hardships. He said the government is committed to provide quality food grains to the consumers and urged the officials to take extra care to ensure quality food grains are supplied to the state.


Agartala, May 4: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has gotassurance of special package from Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitelyfor implementation of 7th central pay commission (CPC) for the stategovernment employees and some other development projects during hismeeting last evening at New Delhi.
According to report, Deb also demanded to consider the gap grant ofpre-devaluation of 14thFinance Commission for the state to tide overthe financial crisis besides; special packages for developmentprojects have been undertaken by the government.
Soon after assumed office chief minister in his first visit had soughta special package of Rs 20,000 Cr in which Rs 11000 Cr was over spentby previous government. 
To implement 7th CPC the state government required Rs 1400 Cr extra annually 
for about two lakhs employees and pensioners, officials stated.
“Jaitelyji had a patient hearing on the demand of additional fund toimplement the promises laid down in BJP’s vision document released byhim before assembly election,” Deb said, adding that finance ministerwas very much positive and sympathetic towards the demand of Tripuraand certainly something will happen soon.
The chief minister called on Rajnath Singh and discussed issuesrelated to strengthening of internal security and border management ofTripura following continuous incidences of cross border crimes andillegal narcotic business between two countries.
“We stressed on prioritizing border management to stop illegalmovement,” Deb said.
Also there has been discussion to facilitate clearance of movement ofheavy goods and equipment of various PSUs such as ONGC via AshuganjPort (Bangladesh) into Agartala directly to the go downs as per theprotocol adopted for FCI in 2015 under which it was permitted to take good carriers though prescribed routes up to the go downs.
The chief minster argued that the proposed transportation system wouldnot only save the time also reduce transportation costs required fortransshipment at the Integrated Check Post (ICP). Deb will also assumeto take up the matter in the meeting of NE Chief Ministers with UnionExternal Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj today on pushing up Act EastPolicy.
Deb however, held meeting with Chief Managing Directors (CMD) ofNational Building Construction Company Ltd (NBCC), ONGC, DirectorGeneral of Software Technology Park of India (STPI) and ChiefExecutive Officer (CEO) of MyGov and asked them to speed up theprojects implemented by them in the state and also to increase theirCSR activities in Tripura to supplement the development initiatives ofthe government.
Apart from that, NBCC has been requested to partner in setting up ofIndian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Tripura and toundertake re-development plan of Kunjaban Township area in Agartala on PPP model.
Chief minister Deb further requested Director General of STPI to set up third Software Technology Park in Agartala apart from theexisting two units as assured by IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. 
CM apprised him that about 1.4 acre of land for construction of third STPI building will be provided by the state. During the meeting with Arvind Gupta, CEO, MyGov, Deb requested theuse of the digital platform of MyGov for Tripura to take the messageof the Prime Minister across the world. UNI

 KUPWARA MAY 03:  District Magistrate Kupwara Khalid Jahangir today ordered a ban on unauthorized parking of trucks outside the godown of FCI at Bumhama.
          “It was observed that unauthorized and haphazard parking of trucks on the National Highway outside the FCI godown causes an interruption in the smooth flow of traffic and leads to traffic jamming.
“This not only causes inconvenience to commuters and motorists, but there are apprehensions of mishaps due to disorderly and haphazard parking of trucks at the said location,” the DM said.
          In order to obviate threat to human life and ensure smooth flow of traffic on Sopore-Kupwara-Tangdar National Highway, henceforth no vehicle including trucks shall be parked unauthorizedly in front of FCI Godown, Bumhama, the order said.
          Any violation of the order shall be dealt with under the provisions of law, the DM added.


Agartala, April 10: Ration shops across the state will be integrated under electronic network with Geo Positioning System (GPS) secretary of civil supplies, Yatendra Kumar said here today.
He said a total 1806 ration shops in the state are set to switch over to electronic-Point of Sale (e-PoS) system of PDS item disbursement and PoS machines with GPS have already been distributed to more than 50 percent ration shops.
The move to bring bring transparency in the public distribution system (PDS) is part of 100 days action plan of the new government.
The secretary said, out of 1806 ration shops in the state, 1331 shops have stable internet connectivity. He added that as many as 175 shops have no access to internet, and the remaining 300 shops are located in places where internet connection is unreliable and the government is working on an alternate arrangement to bring these ration shops into the electronic system.
Kumar said, “e-PoS machines system can help maintain transparency in PDS and leakages in the distribution system would be plugged. 
The leakage, is most often found in distributing ration to consumers above the line of poverty, and now, it will be stopped to a certain extent”.
There are approximately 9.26 lakh ration card holders in the state, he said.
"The installation of e-PoS machines in all the ration shops has been started from 1st April last and the installation in all the shops will be covered in several phases," said Kumar and added that nearly 600 shops have already been covered with live setup in Agartala and its suburbs.
It will no longer be possible to distribute commodities at any other place apart from the shop, as the GPS system is inbuilt in the e-PoS machines, he said. This will help prevent pilferage as commodities have to be distributed to consumers only at the shop.
The government of India is spending Rs 8.79 crore for installation e-PoS machines along with setting up of computers and necessary materials in 1806 ration shops across the state. The commodities include rice, kerosene, flour, salt, etc., said Kumar.
Apart from this, he said that the distribution and delivery of rice from Food Corporation of India (FCI) to dealers will be monitored online. UNI
