Mumbai, Apr 19: Infrastructurer major Reliance Infrastructure Limited EPC has received the Letter of Award (LOA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for its maiden railway project worth Rs 774 crore for the construction of third rail line between Jimidipeta and Gotlam on East Coast Railway on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. 
The 105 km-long line will run in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.The scope of work includes Civil, Track, Electrification, Signalling and Telecom works of the rail line. The scope of work also includes construction of 13 railway stations and staff quarters. 
The other bidders in the fray were L&T and NCC. It is the first EPC contract of RVNL for Railway project. 
The Railway line between Jimidipeta to Gotlam is part of Titlagarh-Vizianagaram section. At present, Titlagarh-Vizianagaram is a double line (electrified) track section of Jharsuguda-Visakhapatnam line. It is an important rail link between Jharsuguda and Visakhapatnam, and serves as a bypass Rail link to Howrah-Mumbai trunk route and Howrah-Chennai main line of East Coast region.
It also caters to the goods and passenger traffic from Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and Raygada with Koraput on the Kottavalsa-Kirandaul line. The line traverses through Western Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. This line will lead to development around the entire area.

Mumbai, Apr 11: Bajaj Electricals said that its EPC Business Unit has bagged orders for Six Rural Electrification projects in the State of Uttar Pradesh amounting Rs.2,389.03 crore from PuWNL under the Saubhagya Yojna of Government of India. 
The Six Rural Electrification projects in the State of Uttar Pradesh are Varansi, Fatehpur,Azamgarh, Jaunpur,Pratapgarh and Mau and Ballia districts, Bajaj electrical said in afiling with BSE. UNI

Mumbai, Apr 5: Engineering Major, Larsen & Toubro said that its Construction Arms has won orders worth Rs 3,376 crore. 
The Power Transmission & Distribution Business has secured orders worth Rs. 1,226 Crore.
In India, the Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL) has awarded orders for supply, erection, testing & commissioning of a 220kV double circuit transmission line from Srinagar to Rudrapur. Another order has been secured from a reputed utility customer in South India to build substations.
Urban electrification orders have been received from the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) which are for the strengthening of sub-transmission and distribution networks under the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS).
In the Middle East, Africa and ASEAN countries, orders for the construction of substations and transmission lines have been secured from utility customers.
The Water & Effluent Treatment Business has secured an order worth Rs 1,200 crore.
An Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) order has been secured from the Water Resources Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh for the execution of Kundalia Irrigation Project - Left Bank.
The Project envisages to provide water for Micro-Irrigation to more than 60,000 Hectares of the Culturable Command Area in Agar Malwa District of Madhya Pradesh by lifting water from the left bank of the Kundalia reservoir on the Kalisindh river. The scope includes survey, investigation, design, procurement, construction &
installing of pumping system, rising & gravity main line / branch lines / distribution network, with control and automation systems.
The Buildings & Factories Business has secured orders in health and automobile sector worth Rs 950 crore from two prestigious clients. UNI

Mumbai, Mar 16: L&T Construction's Transportation Infrastructure Business has signed a major contract worth Rs 2,864 crore with the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL).
The prestigious order was secured against stiff competition from five other major EPC companies. The EPC order involves construction of 222 Route Km of a single-track corridor from Khurja to Pilkhani in Uttar Pradesh. This is Larsen & Toubro's first EPC Civil, Structure & Track project in the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor.
In the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, L&T already has a share of 71 per cent in the civil packages and 100 per cent share in the electrical packages, company said in a filing with BSE.
DFCCIL is a special purpose vehicle of the Indian Railways, mandated to build dedicated freight corridors. This project will be funded by World Bank (WB) and is a part of the 1856 km Eastern Corridor proposed between Ludhiana (Punjab) and Dankuni (West Bengal).
The work includes construction of single railway track including yards, 75 major & 588 minor bridges, rail over bridge modification, four rail flyovers, 21 stations along with construction of all associated works.
The project is planned to be executed using completely mechanised means of track linking using the latest technology in railway construction. UNI

Mumbai, Mar 12: Engineering Major, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said that its construction arm has won orders worth Rs 2,597 crore. 
The transportation infrastructure division has secured an order worth Rs 1,047 crore. A prestigious order has been received from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of the 8.7 Km long Dwarka Expressway (Package-IV) in the state of Haryana on EPC mode. The project involves the construction of eight-lane elevated Dwarka Expressway along with 15 km of service/slip roads and structures like clover leaf interchange, subways/pedestrian foot over bridges and rail over bridge.
The water & effluent treatment division has secured an order worth Rs 949 crore. Two EPC orders have been secured from Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board for 'Providing Underground Drainage Facilities (Laterals) to Bommanahalli, RR Nagar & Dasarahalli Zone coming under 110 Villages of BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike)', in Bengaluru. The scope includes laying of sewer pipelines, construction of precast manholes and providing house service connections to three zones.
Another order has been secured from Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam for the execution of 'Bhima Lift Irrigation Project on turnkey basis.'
The scope of work includes survey & design, construction of intake canal, Jack well cum pump house, substations, transmission lines, allied electro-mechanical equipment's along with MS pipeline rising main & distribution line, delivery chamber and other ancillary works.
The buildings & factories division has secured an order worth Rs 601 crore.
The division has bagged an order from HSCC India to construct a hospital and academic campus for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The scope of work includes civil structures, finishes, internal electrification, HVAC, PHE, firefighting, external development works etc and their maintenance during the Defect Liability Period. UNI

Mumbai, Feb 24: Sadbhav Engineering Ltd said that company has been declared the successful bidder (L1) by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for the project/works on EPC Mode.
The scope of the project is for construction of NH-24 extension 4-lane bypass starting from Behta Road and terminating at Sitapur Road Chainage 479.500 (bypass chainage from km 32.000 / 31.490 to km 64.900/64.380 - average length 32.895 km) in the State of Uttar Pradesh under NHDP Phase-VII-Package 2" on EPC mode., compnay said
in a filing with BSE.

Mumbai, Dec 21: Gayatri Projects has secured Rs 1339 crore contract in joint venture with Public Joint Stock Company Kyivmetrobud i.e Gayatri-KMB (JV), from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The order is for Construction of Stand alone Ring Road/Bypass around Jammu City in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. company said in afiling with BSE.
This project is to be executed under the EPC model, which is in line with the management's decision to follow an asset-light model and reinforces Gayatri's position as one of the leading highway builders in the country. 
It is also the company's first project in the state of J&K, and it now takes Gayatri's presence to 15 States of India. UNI
