BJP's Kapil Mishra

New Delhi, Jan 25 :  The Election Commission on Saturday imposed a 48-hour campaigning ban on BJP candidate from Delhi's Model Town constituency Kapil Mishra following his controversial tweets, poll panel officials said.

The ban order, signed by the Chef Election Commissioner and two fellow Election Commissioners, would come into force from 5 PM on Saturday, they said.

While Twitter had taken down one of his controversial tweets on Friday following directions of the EC, an FIR was lodged against him under section 125 of the Representation of the People Act dealing with creating enmity among classes.

Delhi goes to poll on February 8.

New Delhi, Mar 13: In yet another setback for the AAP Government, the adviser to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, VK Jain, has tendered his resignation citing personal reasons.
"One more honest officer (VK Jain) resigns," rebel AAP MLA Kapil Mishra said in a tweet on Tuesday.
Notably, the resignation of the officer comes days after the alleged assault on the Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.
The officer was also questioned by the police in connection with the incident. UNI

New Delhi, Feb 23: In the alleged assault case of Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Kapil Mishra on Friday attacked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying the room where the incident happened is where the CM does all his secret dealings.
'Meeting with the Chief Secretary was kept in a specific room where there is no CCTV installed inside. It's the same room where Mr Kejriwal does all his secret dealings. The room where the CS was assaulted is called 'Kejriwal's cave'. Very few people are allowed inside into this room,' Mr Mishra said in a tweet.
Mr Mishra said in a series of tweet, 'Now its proved CCTV timing was changed. Sanjay Azad Singh, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Ashutosh did press conference on timing of CCTV. Their role will also be investigated now. They were trying to affect investigation by sharing mischievous facts about a crime.'
'Police has found that the time setting on CCTV was changed - it was running behind by "40 mins and 43 seconds" from actual time,' he said in another tweet.
"Delhi Government is now collapsing. A very senior Delhi Government’s advisor Dheer Jhingran resigned from the Government's Education Committee, and in his resignation letter he has written he can’t work with a Government that treats its officers badly,' he said.
'Was the meeting called by Amit Shah at night? Had Amit Shah invited the CS? Has Amit Shah hacked the mind of your MLAs?' he asked.
In the alleged assault case of Mr Prakash, Delhi Police on Friday reached Mr Kejriwal's residence to review the CCTV visuals.
In connection with the alleged assault of Mr Prakash, two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal on Thursday were sent to the judicial custody for 14 days.
It was alleged that the two AAP lawmakers had assaulted Mr Prakash at the Chief Minister's residence on Monday night. UNI

New Delhi, October 30: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Amanatullah Khan, who was suspended from the party after he had fired salvos against senior party leader Kumar Vishwas, was reinstated into the party, rebel AAP leader Kapil Mishra said here on Monday. "Amanatullah's suspension (from AAP) over," the Karawal Nagar MLA tweeted. Taking a dig at the party's decision, Mr Mishra said, "Whatever he (Mr Aamanatullah) told about Dr Kumar Vishwas is now considered to be true." He also urged Mr Vishwas not to cover their (AAP leaders) alleged corruption and speak out openly over it claiming that they were conspiring against him. On May 3, AAP Political Affairs Committee had suspended the Okhla MLA from the party's primary membership and a committee was formed to look into Mr Amanatullah's comment that Mr Vishwas is working for BJP and RSS. New Delhi, Jul 28 :  In a fresh attack on Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, suspended party leader Kapil Mishra today accused the Chief Minister of meeting a Union Minister of Modi Government and promising that he won't utter a single word against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Taking to twitter, the former Delhi Minister said, "Arvind Kejriwal met a senior BJP leader who is a Union Minister and pleaded with folded hands saying 'I have no ill will against Modi'." Mr Mishra also claimed that Mr Kejriwal has promised the BJP leader that he won't be uttering a single word on the Prime Minister. In response, the Minister told he doesn't think Mr Modi has time to notice that. He further asserted that the Delhi Chief Minister also said that he will be giving written apologies to Union Minister Arun Jaitley on the defamation case. This is not the first time that the Karawal Nagar MLA has attacked his former colleague. After his removal from the Cabinet by Mr Kejriwal, he has been levelling various allegations of corruption against the Chief Minister and Health Minister Satyendar Jain including Rs two crore alleged cash deal.
