ANANTNAG, JULY 09: District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today convened a meeting with the Nambardar’s and Chowkidars of the sub-division Kokernag to listen to issues faced by their respective areas.
In the meeting held at Kokernag, the Nambardars and Chowkidars of put forth the demands related to drinking water supply, power supply, adequate staff and medicines in the government hospitals, construction, repairs and renovation of roads, up gradation of transformers and installation of new HT & LT conductor and construction of protection bunds at vulnerable spots of the rivers and the spots which were damaged due to recent floods in the district.
The Nambardars of the villages of Larnoo, Gudidraman, Matigawran, Kharpora, Narsagar, Desu, Gadwail, LesuBrannard, Addigam, Adhall, Zalangam, Sofshalli, Lisser, Watnard, Draway, Waibamdoora, Hiller, Akingam, Bidder, Hagalgund, Sagam, Gowhan, Wandiwalgam etc. apprised the DDC regarding their demands and problems. Most of the demands were related to road connectivity, macdamization, construction of protection bunds on the spots which were damaged due to recent rains, fencing of government schools, establishment of PatwarHalqas, release of compensation under PMGSY roads, construction of foot bridges, laying of new water pipes, supply of drinking water to the left out habitations/Gujjarpatees, construction of community based toilets near Masjids, medical facilities at PHCs and Sub Centres, disbursement of rent of Health Centres of Pvt. buildings, ensuring of duty of the staff in schools and hospitals.
The DDC directed the concerned departments for taking necessary steps in redressing the grievances of the public and also directed engineers of PHE, PDD, R&B & Rural Development Department for immediate repairs and renovations of the roads, construction of protection bunds at vulnerable spots under conversions mode and submitting projects for up-gradation of water supply schemes and better electric facility. The Exen Flood Control and Irrigation were directed for submitting the report of the damaged spots/khulls for restoration of the irrigation facilities.
Among others, SDM, Kokernag, Exen R&B, PHE, Flood Control, CMO, Anantnag, Tehsildar Kokernag, BDOs of Kokernag Sagam and Larnoo and other officers were present in the meeting.

ANANTNAG, JUNE 27: District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik today reviewed Disaster Management Preparedness and other arrangements for Shri Amarnathji Yatra – 2018 at a meeting held today at Dak Bungalow Khannabal, Anantnag.
 While deliberating upon the Standard Operating Procedures to be followed by all stakeholders of District Anantnag during Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra – 2018, the DDC, Anantnag also said that permanent structures at transit camps and halting stations be used for Disaster Management purposes only.
 Earlier the DDC visited transit camps at Mir Bazaar and Walnut Factory Qazigund to take stock of the arrangements put in place for Yatries.
The DDC also directed civil departments to depute an official to the joint control room for coordinating purposes. He further stated that besides Disaster Management Plan the District Administration has evolved Disaster Management Plan for Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra – 2018. Disaster Management stores would be setup at all 07 designated places with all facilities. All the departments were directed to keep the additional quota of supplies rations, Sugar, LPG Cylinders, Firewood, K-oil, lifesaving drugs in addition to normal quota as a part of Disaster Management Plan.
 The DDC also directed that sufficient stocks from Red Cross store be kept at the disposal of Camp Directors of all transit camps and halting stations. 48 schools along Yatra route have been identified as Disaster Management Centres.  
 In order to ensure proper sanitation in an around transit camps and halting stations upto Holy cave, the DDC directed Municipal Committee officials that cleanness be carried out thrice in a day.
The DDC directed Divisional Manager, BSNL to ensure further upgrade of Telecommunication facilities at all stations, particularly at Chandanwari. The DDC stressed upon the officers to work with coordination to ensure smooth conduct of Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra – 2018.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Anantnag, Exens of PHE, PDD, R&B, District Officers, Officers from NDRF, SDRF, Army, CRPF & Police.

ANANTNAG, MAY 18:  Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements for smooth conduct of third phase of Service Selection Board examinations scheduled to be held on May 20 in the district.
The meeting was informed that adequate seating and other arrangements have been made for the candidates appearing in the examination for the post of General Line Teachers in all the 29 centers in the district. It was said that the head of the institution and a magistrate from the district administration have been designated as observers for joint monitoring at exam centers set up in the district.
The meeting was also informed that Section 144 will remain imposed in and around all the examination centers on the date of the exam.
The DDC instructed the concerned officers to ensure smooth and fair holding of exams across the district, stressing that all centers must have adequate arrangements put in place for aspirants taking the exam.
The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, ACR Anantnag, Member SSB, General Manager DIC Anantnag, SDMs, Tehsildars besides ZEOs and principals of higher secondary schools.
 ANANTNAG, MAY 2:  District Development Commissioner Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik today visited Halmulla Sangam to take stock of the progress on the construction of a Recreational Park, being constructed by the Department of Floriculture Anantnag at an estimated cost of Rs. 509.6 lac.
 The park is being developed on the right side of the Srinagar – Jammu National Highway. The said park would provide an opportunity to the tourists to take a view of the river Jehlum.
 The DDC Anantnag instructed the Department of Floriculture to start the work on the additional portion of the park also and complete the construction of the said park within the stipulated time period.  
 The DDC was accompanied by ACR Anantnag, Tehsildar Bijbehara and officers of the Floriculture Department Anantnag.
ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 15: A meeting of the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) for 2nd quarter of 2017-18 was today held at Dak Bunglow, Khanabal under the chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik.
On the occasion, the DDC was informed that by the end of September, 2017, Rs 386104 lacs have been deposited out of which an advance of Rs 285498 lacs has been made making the credit deposit ratio of 73.94%.
Under priority sector lending, a credit of Rs 544.67 crores has been extended in favour of 20581 beneficiaries against the target of Rs 1290 crores, thereby registering an achievement of 42%. Pertinent to mention that agriculture, micro & small enterprises, education and housing are the main components of priority sector and which should comprise 60% of the total lending.
The meeting was informed that a total of 133 bank branches are operating in the district besides 83 Banking Correspondents (BC) while as new bank branches have been established at Peer Takiya, Hillar Arhama and Khanabal. Meanwhile, the DDC directed the bankers to establish BCs wherever, required.
With respect to linking of Aadhar numbers with the banking accounts for availing benefits under different schemes, all the bankers have been directed to establish Aadhar linkage centres for enrolment. The District Social Welfare Officer was also directed to submit the validation list of the beneficiaries under different schemes to the banks for electronic benefit transfer.
Regarding the skilling of the beneficiaries under different schemes, all the concerned officers were directed to ensure that training is provided by the RSETI.
It was agreed that people need to be educated about different schemes, for which the Lead Bank Manager was instructed to devise a calendar of camps that need to be organised at different locations. The DDC was apprised that during the quarter, 54 Joint Liability Groups (JLG) were formed out of which 9 have been credit linked while as under Housing for All Scheme, 51 cases were sponsored to different banks out of while 11 cases amounting to Rs 36 lacs were sanctioned.
It was decided that insurance cover to MGNREGS job card holders will be provided under PMAPY, PMJJBY and PMSBY for which the LBM was directed to take up the matter with Assistant Commissioner Development, Anantnag.
Under Stand Up India scheme, 5 cases have been sponsored out of which 4 have been sanctioned by the J&K Bank and SBI. The DDC appreciated the sponsoring under this scheme as this is meant for the downtrodden sections of the society viz. women, SC and ST beneficiaries under which a loan of Rs 10 lacs to Rs 1 crore can be availed in manufacturing, services and trading sectors. The LBM requested all the bankers to come forward and sponsor cases under this scheme.
Meanwhile, the DDC instructed all the officers and bankers to work in synergy so that tangible improvements are witnessed at the ground level. He said that due to lack of awareness, people are not coming forward to avail benefits under different schemes. He also called for the organising of camps at educational institutions so that students belonging to lower income families are able to avail loans in order to get better education.
He said that there is a need to identify the sectors where good dividends are subservient to capital infusion. He said that cooperative sector is one such sector. The Deputy Registrar Cooperatives was directed to tie up with the Lead Bank Manager in order to rejuvenate the cooperative movement in the district under sectors of dairy, agriculture and allied sectors.
Reviewing the performance of schemes like Housing for All, Himayat, DEDS, NURM, Stand Up India and like, the DDC called for putting in extra efforts so that the benefits under these schemes can be reached to the people.
The meeting was attended by General Manager, Industries, Chief Agriculture Officer, officers from other line departments-  Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, KVIB, NURM, NULM, Lead Bank Manager, Director RSETI, representatives of RBI, NABARD and other banks.
