Mumbai, Sep 7: The BSE Sensex erased earlier losses to trade higher by 52.34 points in late morning deals in a range-bound trade despite lower Asian cues even as the rupee recovered sharply from its earlier lows.

Good rally in telecom, consumer durables, FMCG, auto, energy, metal and realty stocks lifted the key indices.

The rupee too recovered 24 paise against the US dollar.

Banks, power and finance shares witnessed mild selling.

The 30-share index was trading at 38,295.15, showing a gain of 52.34 points, or 0.14 per cent, at 1100 hrs.

The broader Nifty-50 index was also trading higher at 11,556.90, up 20.00 points, or 0.17 per cent.

Major gainers were Bajaj Auto 3 per cent, Hero Motocorp 2.18 per cent, Tata Motors DVR 1.80 per cent, Tata Motors 1.72 per cent and Wipro 1.56 per cent.

Losers include, Sun Pharma 4.10 per cent, Yes Bank 3.14 per cent, SBIN 1.92 per cent and Power Grid 1.66 per cent.

Meanwhile, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 455.00 crore on net basis, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought equities to the tune of Rs 611.98 crore yesterday, provisional data showed.

Most Asian markets were trading lower amid ongoing concerns about global trade and emerging markets.

US stocks fell yesterday amid renewed selling in technology shares as the Trump administration eyed escalating the trade war.

Mumbai, Apr 16: Hero motocorp moved up on Monday by 2.02 pc to Rs 3805.00 to be the top gainers in the 30-share Sensex pack at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). 
Other gainers were Kotak Bank by 1.88 pc to Rs 1170.05, Adani ports by 1.85 pc to Rs 389.00, Coal India by 1.76 pc to Rs 802.00 and Bajaj Auto by 1.73 pc to Rs 2837.70.
The losers were Tata motors 4.96 pc To Rs 338.85, Tata motor DVR by 4.59 pc to Rs 193.50, Infosys by 3.50 pc to Rs 1132.80, SBIN by 0.76 pc Rs 249.30 and ONGC by 0.55 pc to Rs 181.50 UNI



Mumbai, Apr 11: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) rose on Wednesday slipped by 38.05 points to 33,84.20 on profit booking by local operators at higher level.
The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too fell by 19.45 points to 10,382.80.
It was opened on a positive note at 33,970.35, up by 90 points.
It immediately went in red.
The sectoral indices like Power, Realty, Utilities and Health Care pushed the market down.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 33,972.51 and 33,750.74 respectvely.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,428.15 and 10,355.60 respectively. 
The losers were Adani Ports by 2.20 pc to Rs 377.95, SBIN by 1.88 pc to Rs 258.30, ICICI Bank by 1.51 pc to Rs 284.55 and Yes Bank by 1.07 pc to Rs 315.80.
The gainers were ONGC by 1.42 pc to Rs 182.65, TCS by 1.34 pc to Rs 2971.25, Sun Pharma by 1.08 pc to Rs 513.50 Reliance Industries by 0.92 pc to Rs 924.90 and Wipro by 0.77 pc to Rs 287.80. UNI



Mumbai, Apr 3: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday fell by 49.38 points to 33.205.98 on profit booking by local operators at higher level.
The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) eased by 28.10 to 10,183.70. 
The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, IT, Utilities, Metal, Realty and Technology dragged the market in early trade.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 33,318.34 and 33,158.59 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,229.45 and 10,181.85 respectively. 
The losers were Wipro by 2.19 pc to Rs 283.40, Adani Ports by 1.46 pc to Rs 364.60, ONGC by 1.31 pc to Rs 177.65 and Tata Steel by 1.31 pc to Rs 570.95.
The gainers were SBIN by 1.62 pc to Rs 250.30, Yes Bank by 1.60 pc to Rs 311.30, Tata Motors DVR by 1.40 pc to Rs 191.85 and M & M by 1.16 pc to Rs 756.25. UNI


Mumbai, Mar 19: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday slipped by 78.84 points to 33,101.16 as selling was seen across the board.
Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too eased by 31.75 points to 10,163.40. 
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 33,275.79 and 33,071.20 respectvely.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,224.55 and 10,153.95 respectively. 
The sectoral such as FMCG, Health Care, Auto, and Tecknology kept the sensex under pressure in early trade.
The losers were Coal India by 3.12 pc to Rs 270, Tata Steel by 2.58 pc to Rs 595, Asian Paints by 2.19 pc to Rs 1100.85, Adani Ports by 1.90 pc to Rs 364 and SBIN by 1.62 pc to Rs 248.50.
The gainers were L & T by 0.97 pc to Rs 1279.85, Maruti Suzuki by 0.76 pc to Rs 8756.45, TCS by 0.69 pc to Rs 2844.90 and M & M by 0.58 pc to Rs 745.85. UNI



Mumbai, Mar 12: Bharti Airtel on Monday surged by 4.68 pc to Rs 420.75 to be the top gainers in the 30-share Sensex pack at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). 
Other gainers were NTPC by 4.33 pc to Rs 171, ITC by 4.09 pc to Rs 270, Tata Motors by 3.07 pc to Rs 352.20 and Tata Steel by 2.82 pc to Rs 622.70.
The losers were Coal India by 2.26 pc to Rs 297.80 and SBIN by 0.12 pc to Rs 252.85. UNI



Mumbai, Mar 7: The BSE sensex remained negative for the sixth straight session on Wednesday, as it dropped by 96.60 poitns to 33,220.60 as selling pressure was seen in almost all sectoral indices.
Even, the Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too declined by 39.50 points to 10,209.55.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 33,331.21 and 33,172.25 respectvely.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,243.35 and 10,193.65 respectively. 
Barring IT and FMCG all other sectoral indices were in red in opening trade.
Selling in scrips like SBIN, ICICI Bank, M & M, Adani Ports and ONGC kept the market down for the sixth day today.
The losers were SBIN by 2.48 pc to Rs 250.15, ICICI Bank by 1.90 pc to rs 289.50, M & M by 1.75 pc to Rs 707.75, Adfani Ports by 1.71 pc to rs 396.90 and ONGC by 1.35 pc to Rs 182.75.
The gainers were Tata Motors by 2.09 pc to Rs 353.85, ITC by 1.35 pc to rs 259.95, Dr Reddy's Lab by 1.05 pc to Rs 197.35. UNI



Mumbai, Feb 19: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) slipped by 185 points to 33,825 point 73 in opening trade, as selling was seen across the board.The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 56 points to 10,396.30. 
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 34,122.96 and 33,789.92 respectvely.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,489.35 and 10,379.05 respectively. 
The sectoral indices like Energy, Health Care, Telecom, Auto and Materials kept the market under pressure for another session today.
In scrips including Tata Steel, L & T, SBIN and Bharti Airtel dropped while buying in Wipro, Infosys, NTPC and ICICI Bank capped from further gains, broker informed.
The losers were Tata Steel by 4.46 pc to Rs 657.60, L & T by by 2.41 pc to Rs 1295.95, SBIN by 2.06 pc to Rs 266.15 and Bharti Airtel by 2.01 pc to Rs 411.
The gainers were Wipro by 0.57 pc to Rs 292.30, Infosys by 0.45 pc to Rs 1129.91 and ICICI Bank by 0.16 pc to Rs 321.50. UNI
