Muzaffarnagar, Oct 15 (PTI) Disgruntled BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha criticised the BJP government at the Centre over the Rafale deal.He said a French publication had quoted former French president Francois Hollande as saying that the Indian government had proposed Reliance Defence as a partner for the French aerospace major Dassault Aviation for the deal.Speaking at a farmers' panchayat in Tawli village Sunday evening, he said questions were being asked why an experienced company like the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was set aside and a new company got the contract for the Rafale deal.He appealed to all opposition leaders to unite to defeat the BJP in the 2019 general election.Former Union minister Yashwant Sinha and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also addressed the farmers. The Congress and the BJP have been involved in a war of words over the Rs 58-000 crore deal to purchase 36 Rafale fighter aircraft from France, with claims and counter-claims flowing thick and fast.

Sinha alleged on Wednesday that the Saffron party was trying to divert public
attention from Punjab National Bank scam and the fleeing Niren Modi by raking
up the Delhi Chief Secretary row.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Sinha said,
'Alleged 'assault' of Chief Secretary of Delhi by AAP MLAs & the ensuing
hullabaloo!!
'Is this yet another attempt to divert attention from the
embarrassing issues of the PNB scam & the fleeing Modi? One thing I am
certain of Arvind Kejriwal is a decent man & a man of integrity.'
Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash has alleged that he was
assaulted by Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in the meeting called by Chief Minister
Arvind Kejriwal at his residence to discuss the delay in the AAP government’s
publicity campaign while the AAP and government said it had been summoned to

of the common man's anger over the non-fulfillment of the promises made by the
NDA government at the Centre, senior BJP leader and film actor Shatrughan Sinha
on Saturday said it was time for the ruling party to shed its arrogance.
In a post on the social media, Sinha said it was a matter of
time before the common man realises that he has been promised the 'unachievable
moon' in the Union Budget for 2018-19, presented in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
'Feedback on the most discussed budget and for kind
information, perusal & broadcasting sir - When the hurly burly of budget
shall be over and the Aam Aadmi realises that he has been promised the
unachievable moon, Rajasthan shall state that Aam Aadmi has started to speak.

Kejriwal deserved to have been invited to the inauguration of the Delhi Metro's
Magenta Line on Monday, insisting it would have been 'a feather in the Honble
PM's cap.'

Noida-Kalkaji Metro...making the occasion Modimaya & Yogimaya.. ..but our little suggestion is that
Mr Kejriwal deserved to be invited. After all UP & Delhi are 50-50% partners. It would have added glory to
the show & would have been a feather in the Honble

Shatrughan Sinha today urged the PM to stop communalising the atmosphere and go
back to healthy politics and healthy elections.
In a series of tweets, the yesteryear actor said, 'Hon'ble
Sir! Just to win elections anyhow, and that too at the fag end of the process,
is it a must to come up with & endorse new, unsubstantiated &
unbelievable stories everyday against political opponents? Now linking them to
Pak High Commissioner & Generals?! Incredible!.
'Sir! Instead of new twists & turns, stories & cover
ups, let's go straight to the promises that we made, regarding housing,
development, employment of youth, health, "Vikas model". Lets stop
communalising the atmosphere & go back to healthy politics & healthy
elections.'
Mr Modi on Sunday had attacked the Congress over its leader
Mani Shankar Aiyar's 'neech' comment and his reported recent meeting with
Pakistani officials, alleging that Pakistan was interfering in Gujarat Assembly
elections.
Speaking at a rally in Palanpur of Banaskantha, Mr Modi
sought an explanation from the Congress over its top partymen purportedly
meeting leaders from the neighbouring country.
The Prime Minister also raised questions over the alleged
appeal by former Director General of Pakistan Army, Sardar Arshad Rafiq, that
senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel be made the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
"There were media reports yesterday about a meeting at
Mani Shankar Aiyar's house. It was attended by Pakistan's High Commissioner,
Pakistan's former foreign minister, India's former vice-president and former
prime minister Manmohan Singh," he said.
'The meeting at Aiyar's house carried on for almost three

New Delhi, Nov 22: BJP leader and Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday questioned the
silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the controversy over the film
Padmavati.
In a series of tweets, Sinha said he would give his comments
on the issue only after the film's director Sanjay Leela bhansali spoke in the
matter. 'As Padmavati becomes a burning controversy, people are
asking why the legendary SrBachchan, most versatile aamir_khan and most popular
iamsrk have no comments. and how come our I and B Minister or our most popular Hon'ble
PM (according to PEW) are maintaining stoic silence. High time," Sinha said. 'As for me, I would & should speak on Padmavati issue
only after the "great filmmaker, producer SLBhansali" speaks up. I speak only when I am spoken to and I will speak keeping in
mind the interests of the filmmaker as well as the sensitivity, valour, loyalty
of the great Rajputs. The film has evoked controversy with the members of the
Rajput community saying that the film hurts their sentiments. The film, which features Deepika Padukone in the title role
and Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in key roles, was scheduled to hit screens
on December 1.
However, following the protests against the film, producers
