BANDIPORA, AUGUST 25: A meeting of District Consultative
Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) was held under the
chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) here today to review
the progress achieved under District Credit Plan.
The meeting was informed that Rs 111.23 Crore have been advanced by
various banks to 5917 beneficiaries in the district during the Ist quarter of
current fiscal to establish their ventures. Of this, Rs 61.27 Crore were
provided under priority and Rs 49.96 Crore under non-priority sector,
registering an achievement of 27 per cent in financial terms and 42 per cent in
physical terms.
It was informed that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs 91.26 Crore
which accounts to 82 per cent of the total credit disbursed by all banks here.
The progress of various centrally sponsored schemes like PMJDY, PMMY,
PMSBY, PMJJY, APY, Women Empowerment and stand-up India scheme was also
reviewed threadbare in the meeting.
The DDC on
the occasion stressed for speedy disposal of government sponsored cases. He
directed the FLCC to conduct three mega awareness camps in the district and
involve RBI, NABARD, allied departments, senior citizen, public representatives
and unemployed youths in these camps. The DDC advised the bankers and
sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation and coordination to achieve the
target for development, progress and eradication of unemployment in the
district.
Reviewing the Expansion programme, the DDC directed for opening at least
6 new bank branches at Nadihal, Garoora, Markundal, Kaloosa, Malangam and
Banakoot villages within the next three months.
Among others, CPO, LDM besides RBI representative, DDM (NABARD),
District Coordinators of all banks, Govt. departments and other development
agencies were present in the meeting.
