Agartala, Mar 13: After becoming the Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb made his maiden visit to farthest town of the state Gandacherra in Dhalai district on Tuesday to note on the problems faced by the people especially tribal people.
Mr Deb kept his promise made to the Reang families during his surprise visit at Dhanurampara under Bhagirat ADC village of Gandacherra in last December as the BJP state president where he said that after BJP government comes the chief minister would first look into.
The chief minister accompanied by chief secretary Sanjeev Ranjan and four other top officials held preliminary meeting with the local officials about providing necessary facilities to these families residing in the areas.
Allegedly, they have been immensely neglected by the state administration during Leftist regime and basic minimum facilities like food, education, drinking water and health care were provided to the villagers. The Chief Minister also had a district level review meeting with officials of Dhalai district.
He sought reports from the officials of line departments those include PWD, Health,
Education and social welfare schemes. UNI
