DDC Bandipora reviews Yatra arrangements

 BANDIPORA JUNE 18: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Khursheed Ahmad Sanai today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath ji Yatra for temporary base camp Shadipora in Sumbal tehsil.

        The DDC asked officers to ensure all arrangements beforehand in a more improved and colourful manner than previous years.

        The meeting discussed issues related to security, sanitation, medical facilities, renovation of building and barricading, water supply, transport, electricity, communication, deployment of magistrates, establishment of control room and availability of fire tender at Shadipora temporary base camp.

      The DDC nominated SDM Sumbal as Nodal officer for supervising Yatra arrangements for the temporary transit camp and asked him to convene meetings with local administration.

        The DDC directed for proper arrangements of uninterrupted power supply with stand by arrangements of 2 DG sets.

           He also asked for making critical ambulance available at the camp site.

       The DDC directed officers to ensure all arrangements before 23rd of this month and asked for holding review meeting on 23rd of June at the camp site, Shadipora. 

        On the occasion, the DDC was informed that all arrangements will be made as per past procedure.

       Among others, SSP SheikhZulfkar Azad, ASP Mir Aijaz, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Hamida Akhter, SDM Sumbal, SDM Gurez, Officers from CRPF and other concerned departments were present in the meeting.
